Congratulations!
Suitably gigged and back, in bed, with tea.
Had a few surprises today - DD1 appeared for the first time in months! So she got her birthday present, which was very much appreciated. Apparently I don't know how much I've saved her bacon by getting her an A1 portfolio case for her graphics work.
She's going to try and see about staying over around Boxing Day, which will be lovely for Minion too - she loves the daft Ninja Kitten and says he is probably the naughtiest and cheekiest kitten she has ever seen. Well, if I get a futon, she's going to find out just how naughty he can be, won't she? Especially as she would be sleeping next to the Christmas Tree. And probably with it, if this kitten's general attitude is anything to go by.
Oh, and when I got home, Minion had gone up into the loft and brought the Christmas decorations down 'for me'. Very thoughtful, but she really needs to clean up her latest heap of gibble from the living room before she adds to it - I didn't say this, as it would have been ungrateful (and I was trying not to think of the dangers of a kid fiddling around in the loft with kamikaze cats - similar to Some Mothers Do Have Them, for the mature flyladies).
Tomorrow I have Minion's school concert and a load of cleaning to get cracking on.
I WILL be ready for Christmas this year! I WILL!!!!!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Morning All
Well I've just written my class Christmas cards - I've forgotten 1 but I can't work out who - because I now do 121 I can't put them into groups like I would normally as I only do odd things with them. I wrapped half of my Beavers/Cubs Christmas presents last night so I need to do the other half tonight. Flyingwise I've done hardly anything though - that'll be next week!
Have a good day all
Hugs

Finished Christmas shopping yesterday except for SIL - difficult to buy for(don't ask:eek:) and I can't just give a gift card. NVM something will turn up.
This list is toooo long. Must crack on today. Also need to catch the dog & give him a brush & get rid of some knots in his hair, food shop at Mr S's & B&M to replace mop. you'd think a £3.99 mop would last longer than 18 months:rotfl:
Taking the boys to see Russell Howard at the MEN tonight. They think we are just going into manchester for a chinese. Has had to be planned like a military operation..train leaves at 16.20 - boys finish school at 15.25 - everyone has been threatened with death if they dawdle;)

Wednesday
Sadly house break-ins increase at this time of year. They are most common late afternoon and early evening so please make sure you leave a light on a timer or just on so it looks like you are home. Make sure to always lock your door (even if just popping to a neighbour who may invite you in for a mince pie). Windy weather is also a great cover for the toe rags as if you hear a bang or breaking glass you put it down to the weather. Please look out if you hear such things.
So today check all your window locks, where are the keys, set timers if possible or if not which light with a low energy bulb can you leave on.
Thursday
It simple today my friends get all those cards which have to be posted written, addressed and stamped.0 -
I have been awake since before 4am so gave up when I finished my book at got up. I have:
Done one load of washing (about to go in TD)
Emptied DW and put everything away
Put away washing up
Cleared the kitchen table
Made a list of what I need to do before Christmas
Made a batch of what I hope is fudge to used up some of the vast stores of brown sugar and evaporated milk
Today I want to:
Buy Christmas tree and put up
Make door decoration
Pick the roses and maybe do some pruning if it stops raining
Get ironing collected
Make Florentines
Put the spare room blind up
Bubble wrap some windows
Make soup and reshuffle the freezers
If I can persuade OH to help I also want to get the smoke alarms back up, put up a couple of curtain poles and three shelves... We'll see whether he gets over here in time to help with this before he has to go back and ferry the kids around to end of term stuff.0 -

We already have an action plan not for burglars but in case the crazy XH tries to break in again!
All doors are always locked, windows only open when we are in. Outside light is always on as I kept forgetting to put it on before going out

Don’t need to do cards? Are you organised for next year’s birthdays, especially ones which are easy to forget at the end of December or early January. Do you have a stock of cards for last minute postings?
