    Tuesday
Wrap any presents you need before the 25th, gifts for teachers or friends.

I've only been able to skim read but I hope all goes/went well with delivery Seafarer's_Wife. Calming vibes to Juliejim's DD. Congratulations to poohbear and mama. Dustykitten, I hope you found your cat? Mumto5, good luck with appeal!

    Sorry if I've missed anything/anyone else:o.

I've got so much to do today! Plus, WM broke down on me this morning and they're not coming out till next week:mad: There's not a lot I can do as it's under warranty so I'll just have to put up with it.

I'll need to find a nearby launderette for emergencies. I'll do it by hand if it's only a few things but it'll depend on what needs to be done now and what can wait.:o

Off to make a start now.

    Mawnin' all.

Juliejim sorry, I didn't see your post re DD til just now, but hope all is OK.:o

Dusty oh no, poor Woody.:( Healing vibes on the way. Glad to see that Pickle turned up OK.

I'll try and dust the bedroom and spare room today, as they're technically “downstairs” ;) - also, Mr LW's on early shift and wfh tomorrow, and in the afternoon we need to go out and get me a supply of morphine (plus another couple of errands in town), which I am not looking forward to as I don't do well in crowds. Still, hopefully it'll be the last time we have to go this side of Xmas.

Not only is my shoulder still agony, but the ol' paws are playing up today, too,:( so I think brass polishing will have to be at the weekend, and get Mr LW to help.

I've been awake all night again with the pain - seems like I'm back to square one. Oh well, as my grandmother used to say, "What can't be cured must be endured".

Wednesday – any downstairs area which is left especially if it’s a room of doom

    Level 1
HH putting stuff away *Checks round * – everything's in its place, apart from things I'm using. I've taken some stuff out of the airing cupboard and put away what I can; just a few bits of Mr LW's left in a tidy pile on the bed for him to do tonight, as he knows best how he likes his drawers arranged.;)
Do a small job which you have been putting off
Two “pegs” that fell off the underwear carousel hanger thingy reattached.:o
    Level 2
Clear and Hoover floor Done by Mr LW:A
Wipe all dusty areas with a damp cloth
try for bedroom and spare room; they're all that's not been done yet
    Deal with outstanding post,
all done bills, all done emails today's offerings to look at
    Level 3
Wipe computer keyboard and mouse, clean the screen Done yesterday with rest of lounge:o
Change any pet bedding that needs it
    N/A:(
If you have been putting all your hotspots into a box/pile now is the time to deal with them
    N/A – no hotspots here!:p:p:p

    Extras:
Write a few more Christmas cards All done already we have to be a bit earlier, as Yule is a few days before Xmas:o
    Update your address book
    It's up-to-date – it's electronic, so easy to keep updated.:D
Delete unwanted numbers from your mobile or house phone.
    Polish your silver/brass
This will need Mr LW's assistance, methinks, so probably a weekend job

More Christmas Challenges for those who want them

    Wednesday

Sadly house break-ins increase at this time of year. They are most common late afternoon and early evening so please make sure you leave a light on a timer or just on so it looks like you are home. Make sure to always lock your door (even if just popping to a neighbour who may invite you in for a mince pie). Windy weather is also a great cover for the toe rags as if you hear a bang or breaking glass you put it down to the weather. Please look out if you hear such things.

So today check all your window locks, where are the keys, set timers if possible or if not which light with a low energy bulb can you leave on.

Good point on this one, Dusty. We are up to speed on this; and in fact are keeping a weather eye on a neighbour's house nearby while they're absent; I just checked the window locks for functionality, they're fine.:o

I shall have anther caffeine infusion, and maybe see if I can face a sandwich, then get on with some dusting.:o It'll take a while, one-handed, as I'll need to move all the Bedroom Dragons onto the trolley instead of just picking them up.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all

    Hope jue's DD is OK

    Hope Woody gets better, Dusty

I've done all the bedrooms today, two loads of washing done. I had enough for three but there wouldn't be room to drape it all round so I had to stop at two. Still cold, wet and windy (and some snow but luckily it didn't pitch).

I've even washed down the paintwork in the hallway which I've been looking at for a couple of weeks!

Also dusted the living room and vacuumed right through downstairs and washed the kitchen floor. Again.

Amended my Asda order which is due next Thursday, then did Windows updates which took forever and then three failed, the restart took about 20 minutes (time for me to have a nervous breakdown) but then the other three installed OK after that. I hate computers.

I have survived the shops. Almost there now with gifts as long as all my orders arrive. I'll update my list in a minute.

Need to go back out soon to take a friend who has just had an op to the bank.

Flying today not actually started so lots of you are putting me to shame LW and Polly in particular are doing very well I see.

    Welcome back Bikeless

Going to see how the post office redelivery of missed parcels service works as I've missed another parcel.

Grrr - in my HHC I cleared the junk that OH insists on stuffing behind the sofa. Since we got the corner sofa he sits in the "crook" of it IYSWIM and so doesn't have a side table any more so all his rubbish gets dropped behind the chair. It was disgusting down there. Beer cans, tissues, crisp packets. Eugh. He thinks it's funny. I do not. The boy needs serious training in the new year. Ok, there were a few of the kids things down there too, but I don't see why I should clear his rubbish away as well the boys and my own. Sorry. /rant.

Anyway, think I've earned some lunch!

Haven't moved yet as my laptop is being really slow however I decided to deal with my this I have been putting off. My mum ordered some photos of our wedding a little while ago and there is one she is unsble to use as my niece had a bit of a grotty nose on it which upset my mum and my niece when they saw it. I told my mum to email the photographer to see if there was anything he could do but she didn't so I have just done it...I hope he gets back to me soon. Why does it make me feel uncomfortable to do things like that when it is only what people should be entitled to?

I seem to be having one of those days, got into a bit of hot water this morning, I didn't do anything really bad but my action meant that someone else did and I had to try and rectify it. I have felt rubbish ever since, does anyone else find it hard to let things wash over them? Anyway, think I might have a cuppa and a biscuit to perk myself up before I start flying, see if I feel better after.
