Looby Loo sorry to hear that, thoughts with you, your friend, and those poor little girls loosing their Mam.

Weather isn't too bad here, had frozen over last night and it's still a bit nippy but the suns belting down so I've put the washing out :)

I best go get DP out of bed and make coffee, hope everyone has a good day, I'll probably be back later

I just had to pop back to say how pleased i am with my Rabbit and house training him. We got him in october and for a while i thought i had made a huge mistake buying him.He went berserk when we tried to pick him up and spent hours trying to get him out of his run and back into his hutch. 4 weeks ago my friend gave me an indoor hutch. I kept him in it for approx 7 days, after that i let him out for short periods, We have now got to the stage where he goes outside into the garden/sunshine and comes back in when he has had enough! I feel so pleased because i cant stand the thought of keeping him caged. He has become more like a cat which is great. He still doesnt like being picked up but because he hops in and out of his hutch we dont really have to. He was so funny this morning when i was scrubbing and washing his hutch. He really wondered what was going on and kept sniffing around it.
Unwell daughter has said she is feeling a bit and is up to popping into town so i better get sorted , especially as the sun is shining albeit cold.
Penny pincher- I am glad to hear you are feeeling better.
Looby-loo, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. How awful for you and the family. hugs to you all

    (((Hugs))) to Looby Lou:grouphug:

Thanks to everyone for revealing the truth behind their user names! Mine comes about from my name (Elizabeth...but eveyone except my parents call me Liz), when I was growing up my Dad always called me Lillibet & I was ficerley protective of it being only "his" name for me (can you tell I was a Daddies girl?:o:D) but then my now hubby came along & started calling me it without knowing it was my Dad's name for me, so now he has the honour too. No-one else apart from Dad, Hubby & you guys though!:D

Getting on well, vacuuming done, beds changed & washing on, last ngihts washing hanging out to dry, bathroom sort of cleaned, Spud greatly entertained & a 45 minute phone call to my mum all done;)

    Good Morning (just).

Lovely day here too, sunny but still frosty in the shade. Two loads of washing on the line.

My user name comes from my dog, Polly, and one of her many nicknames is Pollybear. She gets called all sorts! But she doesn't seem to mind.
  • Hello everybody :D Big hugs to everyone who needs them, cups of tea all 'round. Today is going to be a relaxing day for me as I've been a tad stressed this week. Looks like the car is on it's last legs so we'll have to address that in the next couple of days - 6.30 bus for me on Monday morning for work - boo! Been out with my Avon brochures already this morning and co9llecting in from another road I added - no orders though - boo again. Just completed the RSPB bird survey - golly didn't realise peanuts worked so well on attracting them all! Baking day this p.m. and otherwise just a quick twirl of the washer and vac leaving me with a whole day of R'n'R of cross stitching! Oh, and very happy to say that although I've had a council tax demand from 2004/05 (we overpaid and then had it all refunded and now they've decided they want it back) I've found my bank statements and my copy standing order to prove I did paid. I wouldn't mind but I sorted this all out last year (long story but basically we have a house we let out and it was empty and being gutted but we were still paying poll tax because council said we had to then it appears we didn't have to and they'd made a mess of things and I had to sort it all out with one very competent employee). So I feel a very snotty letter coming on to the Head of Finance!!! Poor him :rotfl:  Also plan this weekend to sort out the office, list some stuff on e-bay, get the curtain rail in the front bedroom up, do a letter reclaiming some bank charges, take a hideous bag which was a christmas present back to the shop from whence it was purchased (and I have a load of vouchers to spend as well from Christmas 2005 and leaving my last job a year ago!) and, er, I'll let you know how I get on!!:rotfl: Right, ta ta peeps!

PS My user name comes from my favourite album by my favourite group - Ultravox. I was really into them - followed them everywhere and helped do the fanzine. Ended up marrying a Glaswegian too - but unfortunately not Midge Ure and his bank account!! Plus it's how I feel a lot of the time about what goes on in the world. Old style = eco friendly!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

My bro has just txt me to say that the post office won't tax my car as my insurance is out of date!
It quite clearly states "this is a contract for 12 months beginning 23rd october 2006" I pay in instalments by direct debit every month and the psot office have said they need documents from this month?!
never in my life have I had to get documents from the present month, I just hand in the documents from when I first set up my insurance!
they don't send me any thing else out so what on earth am I supposed to do?!
    big hugs to looby images-3.jpg
oh forgot to say, my user name is my name lengthened!

Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!
  • WM is on, DW emptied and toilet cleaned. Today DD & I have to sort out her wardrobe as she has so many clothes that dont fit her anymore and need to know what she actually needs. Thinking of giving her a clothes allowance but am not too sure:confused:

Big DD News!!!! DD got the bus home by herself yesterday for the first time ever:eek:   Im so proud of her:D ...plus she didnt get beaten up for wearing a blazer grammar uniform whilst going past some of the rougher schools in the area:rotfl: ...instead she was talking to an old granny about MSE;) ...and chckens:confused: She has asked if she can go by bus each friday and will text us if she wants to do another day. All travel here is free for under 16 so another bonus!

Well done to Miss PP :T :T When my DD was 12, she started with an allowance. It's worked really well - she thinks hard if she wants to buy something. Master Penguin turns 12 this month, so his allowance started this week Will see how it does for him :D I pay it by standing order from my account to theirs.

Been trying out my Freecycled yougurt maker, with mixed results. I think I've made a type of curd cheese, but am trying again with the help of Thriftlady.

    Happy Birthday Arkonite Babe!
