Hugs to all you poor people who did not get a lie in. I slept till 7.45, bliss.
Lots of plans for today but don't know now - I've just had a phone call to say my friends daughter has lost her fight and died yesterday leaving two daughters aged 5 & 7. She was an only child. I feel so upset for my friend and her grand daughters.

Morning All
Nice lie in today, and 3 pages here when I looked, cannot read them yet. Off to friends for the weekend so won't get back here.
Managed to fall asleep in the middle of Mid-Summer Murders, usual trick when watching TV so why I usually stay on here, but still had to tell DH a bit of the plot he missed!
Take care all, hope those not so good are a little better, have a good weekend.

Morning all!:hello:
Penny-pincher So glad you are feeling a bit better today. Very well done to your DD for coming home on the bus! LOL at her talking to that lady about MSE and chickens! What a good MSE'er already!:)
My user name came about because the lady in the paper shop mistakenly put me on their computer as Ivy rather than my real name (Viv). I was trying to choose a username at the time, so I was going to use "ivy", then I saw an "ivyleaf pendant" in a catalogue and thought "That'll do nicely!":p
Beautiful day today, but won't be going far, just to the local parade of shops.
DS doesn't know yet if he'll be in for dinner ( ) so will prob do roast chook so it won't matter if he's here or not!
Must do some hoovering later.
We're a bit (well, very) fed up because DH has just heard that his application for medical retirement has been turned down AGAIN - he'd already appealed, so nowhere else to go, as it were. They are saying he could do a reduced-hours clerical job with "suitable adjustments" and blandly ignoring the fact that no such job is available where he works, and all available adjustments had already been tried! His personnel officer has invited him to a meeting to see where we go from here. Don't really know what they can do, apart from terminating his contract "due to continuing ill health".
Oh well, life goes on and we have our trip to NZ to look forward to in a few weeks! Will worry about it all when we get back, though of course it's much better not to worry as it doesn't get you anywhere.
Hope all poorly OS'ers and littlies are feeling better today - good news about Miss Moggins and Master Pink-winged!
Snowy - sending you (((((HUGS))))) I agree with Moggins, it would be a good idea to see your doctor. It's sad to see our lovely Snowy feeling so down.
Bellabella - welcome to the Daily Thread!
Thanks to Moggins, Catowen and loobyloo who replied to my question about my (yuk) drandruffy cat!I didn't really expect any replies as i was posting quite late!
Bargain Rzl - glad you are feeling a bit better, try to get a bit more rest though!
Just found out what the package was that I had to get up at 7.50 to sign for from the postman. Dh has bought me a "Travel kit" notebook/diary/address book all in one, and a pretty pen, to take on our trip! Bless his heart. I'd thought of buying something similar, then decided to save the money!
Hope everyone has a good day/weekend!
Will catch up later.
bye for now

Looby-Loo Hugs!
AB-Happy Birthday
OH currently doing some tiling. DD has hung the washing out for me as I just moaned at her for finding dirty clothes in the bottom of her wardrobe:mad: ...she is quite lazy when it comes to things like that:rolleyes: ....joys:D
Its a lovely day here today, so may suggest sitting outside to have lunch and a coffee. I will of course wrap up well:p ....I love fresh air. Have opened loads of windows to give the house a good blowing over and to chase away the cobwebs;)
Hugs to all.
