anniebooklover wrote:Lil me, I have to ask this, why do you need a trailer with a back that drops down?? Are you planning on dropping your DP over a big cliff???
:rotfl:
I don't have that problem any longer. XDH never went out during the weekend or on weeknights as he "worked hard and only wanted to relax". DS, DD and I didn't feel the same way. We wanted to go visit family, go out for lunch, go to the park, etc. Strange thing is, now that we are apart he goes out with DS and DD regularly. If he had done that when we were together we might still be together!
First bit, now that isn't a bad idea :A , but no, my youngest loves quad biking, I blatently refuse to let him ride his round the streets like some parents do  and take him to proper tracks, the trailer we have now is a box one and I can't lift it in on my own. I spent a fortune getting him all new protective gear for Xmas but because his Dad is 'busy' so much, he's never even worn it! When we split previously he did do much more with the boys, and I sometimes do think would it be better! When he's not busy he can't be bothered.
Mothers, don't get me started! Mine well I am stuck in the middle of 2 parents arguing who are going through being seperated. His Mother  I don't think you could call her that, coming back this weekend and will no doubt cause arguements, AGAIN! We've split the last 2 times she came back! His Step Mam however is nice, but works FT so don't see them often. I don't think the children have been looked after by grandparents for about 3 years, and that was only a rare occasion. DS2 has never been looked after by DPs Mam (she's had DS1 once but he came back upset) and they haven't stayed with my parents for about 3 years.
As far as childcare goes, I don't have any. Very occasionally DPs brother will look after them, last time was my birthday last August I think. In the next month we have an OU tutorial can't attend (both need to but only one can, tried everywhere for babysitter) a wedding and a hen night I can't go to, kind of no wonder I have no life as such, DP usually busy or at work, so he doesn't have them often alone, but I love my boys and wouldn't be without them.
(so if you wondered why I don't go out much and always seem to be on here, there ya go, and no can't get agency babysitter as the likes of 'sitters' won't look after children with special needs)
Moggins hope it isn't the same thing, last thing you needOne day I might be more organised...........

anniebooklover wrote:Mice (btw what's the history of YOUR name?), I noticed on Friends the other night that Jennifer Aniston appeared to be wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring AND wedding ring on her wedding finger IYSWIM and this was long before she was engaged to Brad Pitt. So maybe its a fashion statement? I don't understand it myself. When I was young (around the 1600s - well it feels like that long ago anyway) you never ever wore a ring on your wedding finger as that was a sure sign that you were unavailable. Maybe these days being engaged doesn't mean the same.
Maybe, ABL...I certainly didn't understand the Trends of Yoof when I were one, let alone now when I'm in my early 30s!
My name is a play on words. It's "myself" just spelt differently. It came about because I always say that I am and only ever will be "myself"...so Mice_Elf came about.
It's stuck...even to the extent that my OH calls me Maus. (German for Mouse, pronounced the same.)

Moggins - Oh no - could it be something you have all eaten?
Would love a bigger pet than tropical fish and hamster. We had rabbits for years (they lived outside but were very totally inside with their litter trays and a hutch if it was cold) but DH went through 3 years of being really ill and consensus of option by doc and consultant was he had developed allergies to pets and not to do them. Have told him if he ever snuffs it before me I will
be on for another rabbit and a cat! I will need the company!
Tired Mum - glad all well as said before. Hopefully she will have learned from this. My teenagers were before mobiles so it was different - we got late night/early morning phone calls to come to the rescue. Meant one of us daren't have a glass of wine in case we were having to drive!
Love and huggles to everyone. I am going to chill out now as very tired!
