luckily my mum is lovely but she does tend to say the wrong thing sometimes to people and cant understand what shes done wron but her heart is in the right place
  • I think some women are just not cut out to be mothers. Some women have no maternal or protective instinct. It must have been awful for these women (before the 60s say) to know that they were expected to marry, have children and stay at home raising these children.

That is precisely why I never intend to have children, plus I have enough problems looking after myself sometimes that I would be useless as a mother. I shall settle for being an aunty and spoiling my sisters children :)

LOADS of love and hugs to you. ivyleaf you are fab, cats ARE fantastic aren't they. COOLTRIKERCHICK I know how awful it is to lose a cat like that. I had a cat that went missing 17 years ago and it STILL hurts. Livvy(avatar)is aTOTAL HEADCASE!!!!!!!!!We have had him since he was 8days old(syringe fed for AGES) and he is such a poser(DH's fave)and SO unlike Fergal his litter brother. Health update....Phoebe, Fergal,Rupert and Lucy fine now(tablets finish tomorrow)Livvy(Livingstone) still not well BUT....MUCH better thanks. As for my name well, I tried to choose various other names but kept getting told that the name was in use. As my name is Ann I wanted to reflect that and as in younger (and slimmer) days I used to sing but didn't get my "break" thought the name was ironic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a nice evening and please keep safe. A XXXX (have been on for so long bound to have missed loads of people out-sorry!!!HUGS to anyone that wants one.

Grannybroon I'd be lost without my long hair Blue Persian, he's called Norman and he's 11. Call him Bagpuss! I would love to posta pic, but they come out too big

Cattie1 your'e probably allready at the bowling now, but I agree with others, go - but do keep an eye on them. They can bored easily and soon want to wander off!

Tiredmum - So glad she's home safely, what a worry!

Gosh Moggins, perhaps your mum & mine are related, mine so not maternal. If I need for an emergancy babysitter - her reply "let me check my diary - mmmm I can fit you in in 3weeks time" When I was going thru post natal depression - that was attention seeking in her eyes! Need I go on!

Ive baked 2 x carrot cakes, 2 x carrot & banana cakes & 2 x date n walnuts, my house smells divine of baking!

Wacthing Dancing on Ice at the mo - I love this!

E-bay sales ended today, had lots of enquires about my toppers I sold. People wanting larger orders for their own wedding invites! Its a nice confidence boost knowing others like them that much!
OH been emptying the shed, for more stuff to list! So might do that later or tomorrow. I'd better spend some time with OH on the settee later before he moans he's lonely!

    Be back later

Well I survived the visit to my friend, she has mastered putting photographs on the web and has been instructed how to run the virus checker and disc cleaner, so once she gets a little more proficient I can start to show her some more tricks that she can do with her computer.

Left supper ready to be cooked when I got home, liver and sausage casserole, mashed spud and swede, carrots cauli and brussels followed by banana and ice cream........

I still have not finished sorting out the back bedroom, I have someone coming in the morning but will have to try and do some more tomorrow afternoon, maybe I can get it sorted this week........

I had a suprise today, a friend from the US e mailed me, I have not heard from her for ages, nice to know she is ok.....she lost her daughter to breast cancer 2 years ago, she and her husband are bringing up their grandchildren, both children are being home educated, which makes it tough for her, most of the burden of care falls on her, the childrens father lives with them, but has to work to support the children. Life is not easy for them and makes one realise just how lucky you are.

Right, need to do a bit of a fly lady in the kitchen, OH washed up after supper, but never ceans the sink when he has finished, hate going to bed and leaving a dirty sink....................

    See you tomorrow..................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
