Just shows you can't trust any of usIf we can't even get our names right, what else are we fibbing about! And that isn't Mr Penguin on the Who's Who thread, either
Cattie, can I just second what Rzl said - far more eloquently than I can at this time of dayHave a fab time!

I'm afraid I've achieved zilch today.....
I went to the rugby match (they won :j ) and apart from that I've done very little else. The house is falling down round me today and I don't really give a toss. I expect I'll regret it tomorrow though as I'll have to do something about it before I go back to work on Monday.Tea tonight is pork chops, broccoli and a sort of potato pie invention that's been in the slow cooker for a few hours.
Welcome tweetyshells.
ageandjo and loobylou, hugs for you both.
tiredmum, try not to worry too much....mine have caused many moments of panic when I couldn't contact them but they've always been fine.
Ds2 has just announced another tooth has fallen out.......that means I need to make another card from the tooth fairy tonight. It's a tradition I started years ago with my daughter, so I suppose I've made a rod for my own back. He's the only child I've ever known to lose four teeth in the space of a week!
Take care all and have a good evening!

Hi everyone.
Eeee its cold up north today! Well it is here anyway.
DH has taken 2 DD to see MIL today and I've stayed at home so I don't give her the lurgy. It gives me an excuse to look for more stuff to sell on ebay. I even managed to sell our broken video camera this morning and the bloke came around to collect it himself. :j It's all thanks to dlb who inspired me to start selling after reading about her success. I do think I'm becoming a little addicted to it though!
Regarding the wally trolleys well I remember seeing some cheaper versions in Home Bargains. They were more like big bags on wheels but they only cost about £3 or £4. Otherwise, you could try looking in a market on one of the bag stalls. Hope that helps.
Have a good evening everyone.0 -
tired mum
Don't worry, I am sure all will be OK. Glad to hear you now appeciate your Mum like my DD does now!!! Not being flippant by the way but I never remember my Mum having the same concerns but it was so much different back when I was early teens - we were just into the 60s - well what can I say! I remember going into Edinburgh to nightclubs with my friends and we would walk back most of the way to Corstorphine from central Edinburgh (a long way) just to save money. Would never had allowed DD to do that. We set up phonebanking so we could always phonebank money to both of them in an emergency - we all had accounts with the same bank.
No doubt she will come home saying, but I was OK, you should have known that. I would have phoned if a problem.
Love and hugs

you are right GB i used to take a neighbours dog for a walk over the farmers fields all day and just come back when it got dark mum never worried too much as long as i was home for tea you cant do that now mores the pity thats why we send the kids to scouts we are really lucky ours is a very active group so they have climed glaciers been bouldering in switzerland and mountain climbing up to the high cow sheds canoeing in white water and have the freedom at these campsites to go off and just come back for meals
anyway after doing all that she should be ok0 -

You are providing fantastic opportunites for her. I am sure she will remember these experiences all of her life.0 -
Well, went shopping this afternoon for a few bits and pieces and got my first bottle of Starclen and needed to buy more Stardrops too. Will be looking at the mega index tonight to see where I will use it. Shower head soaking in vingegar and DH says bathroom smells like a chippie! Our local hardware shop sell these products about 15p dearer than Asda and other places but it would involve at least 12 miles in car to purchase so really not worth it. Still loads cheaper than branded goods. Still to find a source for the pine stuff.
Welcome to new folk. Our family here seems to grow every day.
Rugby just finished. Oh dear, what are Scotland up to!
Love and hugs to you all.

Paulie's Girl can you send some of your good vibes my way please????
Morrison's are doing £35-worth of champagne and choccies for £15. I think that's a bargain and suitable for someone who has some great news to celebrate. Treat yourself girl!
tiredmum from what you have said, your DD is a very sensible young girl and will check in with you at the first opportunity. Hope she had a lovely day but I'm sure you will try to explain how you felt at her being incommunicado, so to speak. I did with my DS, who has been known to do the same thing.
Oh, and welcome to the newbies!!! Yes, this is definitely the friendliest part of MSE and you will always be welcomed.
Cattie (I hope its you), take your children bowling. They and you are as entitled as any to bowl. I think you will find that they enjoy the experience so much that they won't bother anyone. Have a great time.
Well, DS and DD have been arguing off and on for the the last hour or so and DD has managed to kick a hole in DS's bedroom door.  I am sooooo cross with both of them right now. They seem to take great pleasure in winding each other up and then telling tales. I wouldn't mind if they were around 4 or 5 but DS is 15 in October and DD is 11 in May. All treats are now cancelled for the forseeable future. I am in no mood to put up with their infantile nonsense.
Hope your Saturday night is better than mine."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
