    Good afternoon all

Emptied the freezer/cupboards, made up meal plan for the next week, went to Tesco to get the shopping in.

Coming out of the car park, some idiot "old bloke" driving a people's carrier the wrong way, the back was full of elderly people. They nearly hit us, and I couldn't belive the cheek  of an old lady sitting in the back, sticking her fingers up at us! HOW RUDE!!! And they say today's generation have no manners!

Right, off to make a fruit salad now for my afternoon snack
    Be back later
    Tara 4 now

could I just ask a question-I want to post it here as you are all nice and don't want any nasty comments (constructive critiscm I will take on board though!;) )
I want to take my 2 kids bowling tonight (they are 2 and 3) my OH works there as security guard so I get discount and we know most managers, what I want to know is-are they too young (they have told me they have shoes in their size) and I will be going at 7pm-would you look down on someone who was there at that time on a sat nite with 2 kids (my kids do not sleep-they only need 5 hours each nite if that-but obviously other people are not going to know this)
If you were out bowling would you get annoyed at too young kids being there?

Cattie - no I wouldn't be annoyed at all, as long as the kids were not being left barely supervised to run riot/annoy other people while the parents chat to/drink with other adults.

If you were a parent who was prone to do this, you wouldn't have thought or cared to ask the question in the first place... so you'll be fine ;):D I hope you and the kids enjoy yourself.

cattie take em and be dammed! If other people moan then it's their problem not yours.

    Happy Birthday Arkonite Babe

Looby loo that is such sad news :(

I'm just in the middle of cooking DH's favourite tea, shepherd pie. He is going off to bed early as he is working tomorrow and then hopefull I shall get DD to bed and I am going to settle in front of the tv and watch The Pacifier with a nice glass of something as it doesn't look like I shall have to make any manic drives to the hospital now.

I'm just looking online for a cheapish greenhouse as DH has said I can have one when he gets his back pay at the end of the month. He was going to buy himself a new Ipod but they are £230 so I suggested he get himself a new lap-top instead as his is very old and temperamental. We can get a fairly decent one for £450 and he will let me have his old one. I did get a fairly hefty hint that I should use it to try and get published this time :(
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    F U Fund currently at £250

I always thought Penelope Penguin was a Penelope and both Anniestar and Anniebooklover were both Annie's. I am gingin which is the first 3 letters of my name x2 plus my mum and brother both call me Gin for short :).

Cattie1 - it's fine we have taken dd bowling on a saturday evening when she was 2, she even wears their diddiest shoes :).

ok i got curious and took a look. I quite fancy a wallytrolley too. then i saw the price. HOW MUCH?!!!   Wilkos sell them for between 10 and 20 quid. Then i got to wondering: would it be possible to buy the cheap one, then make a new bag out of nicer (brighter) fabric?

    just a thought!

Hi Keth, Rolsers are expensive, but they are really, really good too, and last for ever! See what OSers have said about them and other trolleys HERE

There are loads of great shoppers out there, check 'em out icon7.gif

Cattie, take them bowling, you'll all have fun
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
