Cattie, I'm with the others, as long as you're looking after them you're doing 10 times more than some mothers I have seen with young children in the bowling alleys. We travelled all the way to the Washington one and I really felt for 2 little ones who were just wandering around while their parents were drinking, they must have been about 2 and 3, I could see others were annoyed with the children but I just felt sorry for them. Wasn't as if they were there to go bowling. My 2 love it, and did when they were diddy aswell, they don't tend to knock many down but they have great fun, hope your little ones enjoy it
Tired Mum I am sure she will be fine, if they are in the cinema she may have switched the phone off, or maybe she can't hear it if talking with friends, maybe send a text asking her to call you asap so she gets it when it's switched back on. Or ring her withholding the number if you think she's ignoring you, which I doubt. One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Cattie, I'm sure they'll be fine, and as Rzl said, you won't let them run riot. And it's no one else's business what time you put your children to bed anyway. Have a good time!
Happy Birthday Arkonite Babe - hope you're okay, you haven't posted for some time!
Oh and Happy Belated Birthday to N9eav - sorry I forgot earlier:o Hope you had a good day.
Racy Red - I bought one of the cheaper Rolser trolleys last year and I do wish I'd splashed out and bought the cow-print one! Mine's really boring, but DH said he wouldn't pull a cow print one - so I bought a wine-coloured one - but of course it's only ever used when I'm on my own anyway, as if I'm out with DH we're always in the car as he can't walk far (well, nor can I, but I can usually walk further than he can!):p so I might as well have bought the one I really wanted instead. Oh well, I'm stuck with the boring one now!
I'm sure I was going to say something else but can't remember what - oh well, if I remember later and it still seems important, I'll come back!

Hi all,
Not been able to read the whole thread so hugs and get well wishes to those that need them.
Been busy today washing and tidying. Off out for a curry tonight with the in-laws as a thankyou for looking after my daughter whilst I have been working full time.
I am a big Rik Mayall fan, so my username comes from one of his phrases from Bottom " What a smashing blouse you have on"
Have a good evening.0 -

Go for the bowling! DGS was 4 on 29th Jan and we went with DD, SIL, and DGSs for bowling (DGS2 only 21 months). We had a great time and guess who came last, yes, well it was me actually. DGS2 got bored after the first two or three bowls but we just all took it in turns to keep him amused and not encroach on other bowlers. I think everyone in the place thought it was really funny when, at the end when we totted up the scores, the wee fellow started chanting Easy, Easy waving his hands in the air. GB being beaten by a pre-2 year old! Well, it is the taking part that counts!
Have a great outing.

Tired Mum
She has probably just forgotten to switch phone on from going into cinema. Kids don't realise how much worry they cause. It is not thoughlessness, it is just they caught up in the excitement of being out and being with friends, no doubt chatting 19 to the dozen.
Don't worry, I am sure she is OK. Just think of all those poor kids out there whose parents never give them a second glance - like the ones lil_me mentioned.
Just get back to us all to let us know all is OK as we do worry about these things. BTW how old is she? I remember first time DS went to Edinburgh on the bus age 12 with some friends to 'go shopping'! I was a bit more relaxed when it came to DD. I found it quite hard to let go but you have to as they are their own people so to speak. I find now that DS and DD are adults we mull over those years and they understand now where I was coming from (shame they didn't at the time!).

Hi Guys
not been online all day 1) I havent felt like it and 2) I have been trying to get organised:rolleyes:
Yesterday went well all be it the saddest funeral I have been to, being so young and a tragic accident makes it a million times worse. They played Lionel Richies Truely as the coffin came in and her mum (my cousin) walked behind it........so sad...there were other services going on around the world my sis in Oz lit a candal at 2.30pm and also the father and sister of the girl who dies who are still in hospital in France also had a service.
Anyway enough of my misery....
Not too sure whats for tea tonight might have a takeaway not very OS but I cant be bothered today:D
take care all and I hope everyone is well x0 -
