Well, what can I say. I have a huge lump in my throat just imagining everything going on yesterday. And the music, well, so heartbreaking for you all.

    Take care.

    Welcome tweetyshells

tierdmum - hope you have managed to get hold of DD, im sure she is just enjoying herself with her friends, and has forgotton the time and her phone!!!

PP - i agree with gingin, dont apologise for telling us about your days, i enjoy hearing about everyones days, much more exciting than my own!!!!

ageandjo - glad that yesterday is out of the way, but how lovely her life was able to be celebrated all over the world, its so sad when something like that happens to one so young ((HUGS))

Well, im finally home and ive locked the doors, pulled the curtains and im not leaving the house again until Monday, feeling better than i did this morning, the fresh air mustve done me good!!! Did my mystery shops, picked up some bits that i needed in Boots, and booked some tickets for DS and i to go and see Plymouth play in the next few months (including Crystal Palace ageandjo!!). I then ended up in Tescos - please someone stop me going there, i always end up buying to much, i just dont like the thought of not having food in the house, so always buy loads. Its never wasted, but when i dont need to go, i really shouldnt.
Right, DS wants to watch the footie on the computer now, so id better go and make dinner (pasta tonight)
    Have a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Did you get any turkey bargains?!!!

By the way, I think my sign in name is self explanatory! My DS and his friends used to call me (very tongue in cheek) Maw Broon in their teens. That had to change of course when DGS1 came along!

tired mum - she's probably fine.. how long has she been gone, and how overdue is she to call?

let us know what happens please.. in the meantime, i'll keep you in my thoughts. but do think positive.

: i don't mind expensive, when it does the job (i.e. quality) but.. £65 is almost 2 weeks worth of food for me, and a third of my fortnightly benefit cheque, i think you can see that i just can't spend that kind of money on what is basically a bag unless i was going to save substantially because of it. however, what i might do is look into buying a cheap one and re-fitting it... i've wanted one for ages but dreaded people laughing at me. i shouldn't, i know, care what others think of me, but i do. i'm getting better.. as evidenced this afternoon...

i'm just back from Aldi actually. i think the store manager hates me now. first of all i got charged 3p too much for my milk, (advertised at 52p, charged me 55p) so i insisted on 3p back. all those pees add up you know! in the same go, i showed him a bottle of fruit drink that had leaked and at first i thought he was going to refuse to give me my money back or another one free (it was part of a set of six bottles) but then he gave me it back. £1.19. which basically means i got 5 drinks for nothing!

Nope, mainly organic pitta bread, bread rolls etc, they were only 10p and I can't make them for that. Usually lucky to get 10p off in my local store so I grabbed them when I could. Also managed to annoy the check out girl with not bagging my fruit, wasn't as if there was many of each but she did scowl at me for it. I don't buy my meat from there so didn't look for any turkey bargains, didn't even walk down those aisles.

Grannybroon - just noticed on another thread you mentioned Burmese cats. I used to have 2 burmese cross black cats and they really were my pride and joy, it broke my heart when i had to let the RSPCA take them and rehome them (lots of reasons why, one of the reasons i will never forgive my exOH as well). One day i will have another one!!!!

    (((((((((((loobyloo))))))))))))))

Well interview was wierd last night. Was in a group of 4 and the other three
    a) Had all gone to school together
    b) Were all about 17/18
    c) Were all very chatty about their boyfriends and how they'd been dumped / were going to dump / so-and-so should dump etc....

So I felt very old.... :D And I'm not, honestly!!!

Is there a thing about wearing engagement rings these days? All 3 of them yesterday were wearing engagement rings, but not one of them actually had a boyfriend, let alone a fiance..... Just curious!

My OH was a real darling yesterday and despite getting out of bed at about 11am and then going into work, he surprised me by coming home at about 20 past 4 with a huuuge bunch of flowers for me as a congratulations on getting an interview present. :) So mum didn't have to come over to babysit. Apparently he'd booked the day off when I told him about the interview, but he had a job that couldn't be done by anyone else or at another time, so he had to go in albeit briefly. What a sweetie. :)

Anyway, interview went well....I think...will have to wait to hear now. Apparently if successful, I should hear from them at some point next week. Fingers crossed as is sounds like an ideal job for me and I think I'd like working there. Not to mention that the extra money would be very useful to throw at the credit cards and OH's loan.

The bread that I made in the BM went down exceptionally well! The first loaf was devoured by OH in less than 45 minutes!!! I managed 1 slice...OH had the rest. So I made another loaf this morning. Was quite surprised and glad that it turned out all right, despite using the wrong yeast and plain flour instead of bread flour...
Second loaf is already looking a bit thin. OH had 2 large doorstep and then some sized slices for lunch.

Daughter very tired today for some reason but generally happy. She didn't wake up until 9:30 this morning!

Washing machine has slogged its way through 3 loads, all hung out on the line, drying well. Washing smells so much nicer when hung out on the line, don't you think?! Beds are all stripped and windows open, letting the beds air and the rooms feel deliciously cool for bedtime. My OH is part polar bear and unless there are penguins flapping about trying to keep warm, the room is too hot. :D

Kitchen is gleaming, toilets are scrubbed and downstairs hoovered again. 4 cats makes this an almost daily necessity, especially with little one about.

OH has washed the cars today and tomorrow we're over at my mum's so that OH can help my dad carry on putting up the barn, sort out the wiring on the van and move the fish tank to a spare room as they are having new flooring installed in the hallway. Should look really good when it's finished.

Mum's going to come over here while it's being started as you can't walk on it until it's set, which renders her immobile in the house as it's the hall which leads to all essential downstairs rooms! Kitchen, lounge, living room, dining room and downstairs toilet. :)

Tea tonight will be something with tuna...mainly because that's what I've got out of the freezer! Possibly flaked into some curried rice, served with salad or something....

Hope everyone's well today and is having a relaxing day!

Aren't they fantastic! They have such personalities! The big brown males are just so laid back. Friend had a tortoiseshell female (18 when had to depart this life) who was totally off the wall (literally!) and would get you to stroke her and then without warning bit chunks out of you!

Hope you get another one. Sounds like it was a painful parting - so sorry.
