Well, I just went through my budget review paperwork as per earlier CCCS phone call during the week.
They made a mistake. My mortgage payments have gone up by £13 a month, but they've put that they've gone up by £113 a month! I knew I was right and I should be paying a little more each month - knew it! How typical that I've found out on a Friday night though when I can't ring them until Monday after work at the earliest. I'll be stewing on it all weekend.

Don't stew hon, you know it'll get sorted asap xx

Well, I went to the docs and it truly was a waste of time, other than to get more migraine drugs... he says I'm on the verge of a burnout or breakdown and I desperately need a rest/break/holiday from both the work and home situation. He asked if there was any way I could get away for a few days. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Then suggested that OH get away for a few days, haaaaaa. Then asked if I wanted time off work. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Also suggested Relate, which OH has refused to do in the past. And offered me drugs to help me sleep, which I can't take because I need to be available for the kids.
And a 'please come back and let me know how you're doing?'. Haaaaaaa. I told him I would get better if he would stop signing OH off sick.

sounds to me as though you need to see a different DR..

As BR has said don't stew it will spoil the weekend for you. I know its hard but sometimes we have to accept that some things we cant do right this second and we need to wait.
I don't use CCS but are you able to email them (not sure if they have case officers etc) and then follow up with a call on Monday, so that in your own mind you feel you have set the ball in motion?

    Take care

Sorry the docs visit didn't go as you would have hoped.

I know you said OH has refused Relate in the past but it might be worth suggesting it again.

I'm not sure if it is the same everywhere but our local Relate used to have a walk in session where you could go and speak to one of the counselors (and it was free!!). Also if he still doesn't want to go you can go alone.

As I have said to others sometimes its good to be able to talk to someone outside of your situation, they don't make any judgement but are good listeners.

Hope you have a good time visiting your mum tomorrow and enjoy Mothers day.

    Take care

  • Morning all

I am SO pleased that my mum is home. It's fantastic to see her again after such a long time. Got spoilt rotten by her... And she's got one of those machines that you stand on and it wobbles you fit... so I had a good long play on that (and my legs are feeling it today).

Other than that fairly quiet this weekend. The higher dose of migraine medication has knocked me off my feet again and I feel absolutely exhausted at the moment, although I'm sure it's just until I get used to it.

Still haven't heard from the diet people but I'm hoping they ring me today, and meantime I'm trying to stick with scottish slimmers so I can at least be making a start.

OH finally rang the mental health team as well, so I'm really hoping that there's some progress with that situation as well... fingers crossed.

And the sun is out. I don't want to curse myself but I'm really hoping I'm turning a bit of a corner after the last few weeks from hell.

  • Boing!

Just got off the phone to cccs. They've upped my payments by the £100 a month they'd mistakenly added to the mortgage. Let's see how long we can carry on with this.
My dfd is now 4 and a half years away apparently. That would be about.... Sept 2016! Better update siggy.

  • You'll get there Rose - I'm 2 years ahead of you with my dmp. I felt despondent about it for a good couple of months. I genuinely think I only had half a light bulb moment back then. The real thing for me came December when I read your posts... last review I'd have been thrilled if they'd dropped my payments so I had more money to spend. Now I just want them as high as I can afford to get cleared asap. ;) You don't know what's round the corner - your situation may improve and you may be able to up your payments.

I hesitate to say it because I've had quite a bit of rubbbish luck recently, but today I feel lots better than I have done in ages. I have managed to find more money for my creditors. And I am making progress in other areas of life too - the diet stuff is en route, and things could be on the up with work too. Now we just need to fix OH's head and we'll be all good. It's just less than a fortnight to my birthday - I'm crossing fingers for a very happy birthday this year (you never know) :T

Glad you are feeling better and your new diet food is on its way.

As BR has said Spring has sprung and hopefully that will help OH to feel better. Also the fact he has contacted the Mental health team is a step in the right direction.

Here's hoping you have a fab birthday in a few weeks.

    Take care
