Wednesday - migraine day. Every Wednesday since Christmas... it is my busiest day at work, although today was strangely less stressful than the past few weeks have been. Calm before the storm no doubt - I won't for a second assume that things are going to get better there. The migraine is niggling so I'm thinking of going to bed now nice and early.
Anyway, both of my kids brought their mothers day stuff home today. DD has made me a lovely card, in the shape of a handbag, and inside it says 'you are the best mum in the world, and I hope you never die'.:rotfl: DS has brought me a little sunflower (I think - it's definitely a tall and skinny plant but he's only 3 so not sure), and a butterfly card. Bless them.;)
And I had a phone call today. I'd forgotten about this, but a couple of months ago I entered a competition with a weight loss company. They were looking for people who are getting married and want to lose any weight for the big day. I won't say who they are but they provide meals already made up so you don't have to make anything. Anyway, I'm on the shortlist to win the competition...:T if I accept their terms and conditions, which are that I pay half price for the meals whilst I do the plan, and if I reach my target weight by the time of the wedding it'll all be refunded. Plus I'll need to blog on their website, and agree to take part in publicity etc. Discussed it with OH who has promised to support me if I choose to go for it. I should hear by Friday or Monday if I've made the final grade. I wonder if the thought of getting a load of cash back at the end will help to motivate me - that and having to answer to the general public.:money:
But as anyone subscribed to this thread knows I have no bother talking about myself and my life.:DNinja Saving Turtle0 -
good luck in the comp, thats an amazingchance to do it.
Glad work wasnt bad for you today, and lol at your daughter. I havent had anything of my son yet, doubt i will get anything eitherPAD Maker0 -
Well, I'm in! I've had the email through from the big boss at the weightloss company asking if he can ring me tomorrow and we can make a start with the diet asap. How exciting... and nerve wracking. I just hope I can do it. I'd desperately love to be a slimmer bride, and if I were to get the bonus of losing weight with a pot of money at the end of it, well who knows?
I've been looking on their website and choosing my meals. Now, how do I keep the motivation for this?
AND, I have finally spoken to my mum. She's been away on her annual holiday for the past month (!) and just got back today. Bless her, she has no idea about OH and his relapse, and the stuff at work. I'm just thrilled she's home and can't wait to see her on Sunday.
Right, I'm off to catch up with posts.
Wish me luck all - I need every ounce of support I can get.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

Well done on getting through on the competition, it may well be just what you need. I dont know about you but I struggle to motivate myself when it comes to losing weight and boy do I need to lose some.
Good luck at the doctors today, be honest with them. Its unlikely you will tell them anything that they will not have seen before and sometimes its good to talk to someone outside of your own situation.
Hope you have a lovely time at your mums at the weekend and a good day today TGIF.

I am without any doubt my own worst enemy when it comes to anything to do with me. I put myself at the bottom of the pile so often that things for me end up being unimportant... but I am hopeful and excited at the prospect of losing weight for the wedding - fingers crossed.
I've not slept well last night - stressing about my appointment this afternoon among other things. That means I have a migraine niggling (like the return of an old friend) so I'll be at my worst by 5.20 this afternoon - probably for the best that the doctor sees how pathetic I actually get.
Blew my weekly spend budget last night - but I've paid up for a trip out with the girls from work to see a show in June. I said I'd go last year (pre lbm) so at least it's all paid for now.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Oh, and yes - my mum will find out about everything that's happened while she's been away. Just didn't want to spoil our lovely chat last night.Ninja Saving Turtle0

Well, I went to the docs and it truly was a waste of time, other than to get more migraine drugs... he says I'm on the verge of a burnout or breakdown and I desperately need a rest/break/holiday from both the work and home situation. He asked if there was any way I could get away for a few days. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Then suggested that OH get away for a few days, haaaaaa. Then asked if I wanted time off work. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Also suggested Relate, which OH has refused to do in the past. And offered me drugs to help me sleep, which I can't take because I need to be available for the kids.
And a 'please come back and let me know how you're doing?'. Haaaaaaa. I told him I would get better if he would stop signing OH off sick.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Congrats on the competition, you will do really well.
Sorry the docs didnt go very well.PAD Maker0 -
Well, I just went through my budget review paperwork as per earlier CCCS phone call during the week.
They made a mistake. My mortgage payments have gone up by £13 a month, but they've put that they've gone up by £113 a month! I knew I was right and I should be paying a little more each month - knew it! How typical that I've found out on a Friday night though when I can't ring them until Monday after work at the earliest. I'll be stewing on it all weekend.Ninja Saving Turtle0
