Thats good progress Pap. Stay strong and she will respect you; youve already got proof of that. I think youre doing fine. I like your new plan. You have to be realistic and thats what you're being. Thats part of being a grown up.

ztd no i didnt put the benifits into my soa basically because i dont like benifits they are given to you and taken back away and you are left with the 'debt' to repay the government, i have seen this happen far too much

Then keep any benefits as savings - if they ask for them back, well you can drip feed them back. Not including the interest you've earned on them of course...

We're only ever doing what you would do for any of us hun xx

Yes you're right, even if you only get one day of experience somewhere, and book that as a day off from work, it's something. Then when you come to apply for job you can highlight you kenw you didnt have the experience to get into a paid admin job straight off so you did what you could to get that experience. I'd be knocked off my chair if I interviewed someone who had that much determination and will, and would snap them up straight away.

If things are improving with your mum all the time, and it does seem leaps and bounds at the moment, maybe now is the time to capitalise about the lock on your door. Highlight to her, you're a grown woman now and you need some private space. Tell her its not because you're growing pot in there or anything lol, but you do need to be able to do things like get dressed etc without him barging in!I'm sure she'd understand in that respect.

see now this would interest me... or even a secretay for a business of some kind, this would suit me down to the ground, but yes i havent got all what you have stated but they are easy enough to buy and also i feel if i got a job i was proud of i would make myself more presentable, instead of the hair up, long jackets, black trousers sort if person i am now...

Maybe you should do an evening class in shorthand and word processing then, so that you have some skills on paper. As well as your GCSE and not instead of but I dont know how much that would cost you unfortunately. Shorthand is a great thing to have because it is very useful and not many people have that nowadays.

  • cafc girl, as i would be doing my gcse on my day off sadly i couldnt do it everyweek, but again its something to look into... and yes i will ask about the lock, i mean most of the time my doors open anyways but if i want to change people just walk in... i would never do that to them...

tes, just looked up shorthand and its only £120.00 but its on a different day to my gcse they also do a legal word processing qualification for teh same price but again its on a different day to my maths gces, now i dont want to give that up so these course maybe i will look into once i have finished my maths

ohhh edit... just found this ILEX Legal Secretarial Certificate/Diploma for £100 now i dont know if this would be any good but it runs in the morning before my maths gcse ~ cant do that you need qualifications first

Im not by any means saying do a Learn Direct Course. That was just for information but the course at your college sounds great. Maybe that is something to aim for. I think it would be very interesting. You might not need shorthand.

So if you do Maths GCSE, do that legal word processing course and smarten yourself up a bit. Go to a good hairdresser, etc. Then you will stand a good chance. Youre in a city so there should be plenty of jobs. Even if you dont get a job doing legal secretarial work it should stand you in good stead for other office work. Also, go to Agencies and try to get temp office work, that can often lead to a permanent job.
