I thought it looked like a beach. Cant remember Paignton Zoo all that well as its been a few years since Ive been there. The most recent visit to Devon was a few years ago when we went to North Devon, Lynton & Lynmouth, Watersmeet.

I know you love the animals Pap. Did your mum enjoy it as well?

Its strange coming back from a lovely holiday, isnt it? Hard to adjust to normality. But it looks like you had a wonderful time. Maybe your standing up to your mum has improved your relationship and she now respects you more. Youve had some good bonding time this week.

£7,000 miles - on a 1991 car for £2k? Sounds like that's come out of the back end of a cow

Glad you enjoyed Devon, you had the weather with you too :D

Hello PAP.... I've been reading this thread for a few weeks now! You are doing so well but you just need to have confidence in your abilities. Your driving instructor wouldn't want to put you up for your test if he didn't think you could do it!

    You can do it!!!!

Glad you had a good holiday!! Cute pics... i love the penguin!!

    PAp

I remember fondly when I was moving out. I went to unik so at least I sort of new it was coming, I remember being ever so excited over getting everything together. *shivers* I remember it SO well.

Every time I had a bit of money Id have a list of the things I needed and Id go and buy bits & bats, tin opener here, pillows there. I also managed to scrounge some old plates from grandmas, a sleeping bag, some pans, all that sort of thing.

Now if I had my time over again Id be planning it witihn an inch of its life ( you know me ;) ) and I might be tempted to do a spreadsheet or possibly even using wedding list software ( freely available on the web- someone was talking about these on relationships baord)

In these thrifty days, you have all the skills and now the money to mooch around car boot sales charity shop and now we even have freecycle! So dfont be afraid to get stuck in now your DF to building your "bottom drawer" as they used to call it in the olden days.

eg if you can save 100 per month then take 20 of this to buy things with. Theres something about aquiring stuff that really makes the plan feel real - and will spur you on!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
