Posting, you are a magician with money. Think how rich you would be if it wasnt for your family's excesses.

yep i am thinking of that day :) as of the 13th (my next pay day) when someone asks me for cash i will say no but i will squrriel that money away... i wonder how much money i actually lend people in a month... we shall find out :) had a driving lesson today, it was budgeted but i made him take me for an hour rather than 1 and 1/2 so that saved me £10 and he is fully booked next week so i will save £30 :rotfl: thats off to my credit card when i can get to a bank :rotfl: i have also scrapped my monthly car savings so that has saved £10 :T thinking of dropping my charity too only by £2 but every little helps :D
  • hi all... just working out next months budget and i must say it looks much more healthier... only £396.28 on bills with £50 to my debt included (although this isnt just what i am sending :)) so going on my lowest ever wage (£700.00) that should leave me just over £300 :T

yesterday i payed off my barcalycard account... again  and i also payed £37.97 onto my sainsburys debt :T my accounts now stand at... £5.74 ~ spending, £133.94 ~ bills (includes sainsbury payment) and £330.00 ~ isa (holiday spends and my college money although money will need to be added to this for collge) not too bad... once my debt is gone i will start saving in my car savings and my spare account for a rainy day...

going to see the birds tommorow (slimbridge wwt) this will be the last of my spending account. I dont need to go but i havent been this year and i love it as a day out... also all the money will go back to the birds... i think my mums oh wants to eat there :o that will be a no as will stopping at the gift shop but i have a few £1's in my purse for some seed :)

I am now trying to work out how to split the remainder of my wage next month between my debt/college/spends  also i have to decide how much i am taking away to holiday with me  anyway i think i will think about this later... off to have some fun... cleaning :rotfl:

Ooh, enjoy slimbridge pap, its a lovely day out isn't it?! Very pricey in the cafe though like you say, maybe some home made sandwiches will do?

I think you're going to really love the feeling of being totally in control... just the thought of you saying no to people and keeping your money for yourself, its fab! You are not at all frivolous and the things you want to use it for (college, car etc) are much better and longer lasting than whatever 'essential' your family are wanting to borrow from you for. :T

thanks kath, yes its fab/was fab, we go there quite a lot and i love the day :) we did however stop in the cafe but my mums oh paid for that :) so it was just the entrance and then £1.75 in the gift shop :o its ok its was pencils and pens so all usable :) oh and aslo £2 for seed :D

yes i belive i will love that day :) i have said no about 3 more times in the last week but it seems to be working... i have been thinking about my holiday today and last holiday i spent £100, well mum isnt saying where she would like to go so i have decided on two places (quite cheap) so that will cost me for entrance fees so i am budgeting say £130.00 but i think i will keep a 'proper' spending diary this time :)

    another week over :T
  • woohoo yupi3ti.gif mums payed me some of here bt money back £25 i think i am going to pay this into my debt as i havent really included this in any of my budgets but i will need to get it into the bank first, so that will be on wednesday now  also i havent allowed my cards out of my sight and i havent asked mum to post anything since you lot have pushed me about mum having my card. I have had things to post and i have asked her to post them (although i had the cash ready to post them) but i have decided to post them after the bank holiday myself :D

I have also just been shocked by my mum, she came into my room and explained that the council office was shut (it shuts early today) and she cant pay the rent till tuesday as bank hols they are closed... but could i keep hold of the cash for her other wiseshe will spend it over the weekend  ok its only a small step but in rality she would have spent that money then asked to 'borrow' the downfall from me... happy posting today :rotfl:

    oh and edit:
yesterday i told my brother i want the £35 he lent from me nearly 3 weeks ago next friday, this was the agreement when he borrowed it but i said to him if it doesnt give it to me i cant go on holiday, in reality it doesnt matter it will go towards this debt but i am not breaking this boundary or he will see he can get around me... also he still only has a month (1st of may) for the other card debt £40.31 before it starts adding intrest ;) again in reality this card is now empty and needs closing but he doesnt know that ;) once i get that back that will also go on my debt :)
