Was there a reason why he said to lose 1lb a month? Maybe he thinks that the tablets will make you lose more so you dont need to try very hard.

Glad you got a diagnosis. PCOS is very common and you can find loads about it on the web.

I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago. I ended up deciding not to take the pills I was given as they made me quite depressed - not to say this will happen to you but if you do find yourself getting depressed again, bear in mind it could be the pills and ask about alternatives.

So glad for you that you got an answer from the docs. Have you researched into much of it yet? I must confess to not knowing that much about it, although my first ever flatmate was diagnosed with it. But just wanted to say you're not alone, and keep talking

tesuhoha ~ i have to try and lose weight myself since i have hit this plateau it wont more though but i will try he says only 1lb as i am more likely to keep if off and not get excess skin so i see his point... also looking at it in the mse way it will save buying new clothes quiet fast :rotfl:

Seaxwyn ~ thanks, i will look out for that (depression), but i have to start in 1/2 dosages anyway as the tablet give you a funny stomach otherwise.

CAFCGirl ~ yep loving my newslef, i am even standing up to the idiots at work who expect me to do everything... the new pap is here to stay! Havent really read into it but have seen a few sites so may have a looksie around on my next day off

kathfisch ~ thanks hun, want your advice please... i have had my letter and cheque from the college returned (apprently i applyed for the 06 course and the new one isnt out till june) as i cant apply yet. Now what to do with a few things...

1) the spare cash thats now in my bank £177.00 (i have about £10/£15 left to live on the remainder of the month in my spending account (thats before the avon)) but i can do this as i have no more postage for ebay items to send

2) work, if for some reason i cant get this course on tuesday as of september how do i breach the subject. They have autorised me having my restday on tuesday but what if i need to change it?

Good day today... i even got my old rings out and they fit :j but i have been naughty today and ate a danish pastry and cake while in work never mind... :rotfl:

If not I'd just hold onto it... you'll need it for when you can pay for the course. I wouldn't tell your family if I were you, if they think the money's with the college they won't think they can ask for it!

You'll just have to talk to them I guess, as soon as you know for definite. Personally I wouldn't say anything yet, wait until you know if you do have to change it. There are always things that can be moved around and if they've got any heart they'll want to support your learning. Just remember - you're a valuable member of staff and they're lucky to have you, you just need to be confident when you talk to them and make it clear what day you need.

ahh thanks kath... i have an empty savings account so i will prob stick in it there, i just wondered if it would be worth to pay it off my debt and then hope i have the money in june... but it is a hope :rolleyes:

Not much point paying it off your debt since its on 0%, savings account sounds good! Didn't realise you were on holiday so soon!

ahh i think thats what i will do then at least i wont be tempted to give it away yes... three working weeks (as of monday...) cant wait... it will sink in more when the next set of rotas go up and i aint on them :T even though i havent paid for it yet (technically) i am going to make the most of it... cant wait :rotfl:

Just make sure it's not an empty savings account for a reason - i.e. it's crap. Still time to open a cash ISA...
