how would you feel is a teacher called your son sexy ?

Options
We had parenst review day for my yr 7 aged 11 son yesterday.
My son is very popular and very sporty, He plays for the local championship centre of excellence and the head of sports is moving dentions etc so he plays school football/ rugby.
How ever when i questioned why my son was on school uniform report the head of year replied that my son was a trend setter and other followed him so if his shirt was out all the class followed. When i question further as all the boys present using the libary there were at least 30 didn't have there shirt in she explained it up to the teacher to enforce it and choice people.
How ever her final comment was i dont think you realise just how popular your son is and how hard the girls are fitting over him. He is a n extremely good looking ,Fit and sexy boy who every one fancys !!!!!!
AS YOU CAN IMAGINE THAT HAS MADE HIS FACEBOOK PAGE . How ever it has been worrying me all day as it seems wrong for a grown up teacher to call my son sexy or inform him of this !!!!!!!11

tell him looks will fade, and is he top of the class in his academics.

Honestly, nothing to worry about, i would be more concerened that he gave this aura out to the girls , that he knew about it and how to deal with it as he gets older.

I think in fairness the comment by the teacher was from observing the girls around your son and meerly stating how the girls see/refer to your son and not her personal point of view.

I would think she would never have meant to offend you, if your son is getting detentions then he maybe playing up in class to feed the attention that he's getting from the girls, im sure all his teachers will be aware of the girls responses to your son and the other cool dudes in the school.
It sounds like your son is one of 'cool dude gang'!.

I agree with Squibs, and I would be really chuffed myself! The teacher was reporting what the girls in the class thought of your son and how lovely for you to have an attractive, popular child! Things could be a LOT worse. I don't think the teacher made the comment in a sinister way at all and would probably be MORTIFIED that you have raised concerns.
Maybe, if it still bothers you, approach the teacher discreetly and discuss your concerns? If she even remembers the comment, she will be duly embarrassed ;).

  • She was probably just talking about how the girls in his class view him in a joking manner. I think it's highly unlikely that she has designs on your son or anything like that. Chances are she meant it to sound like a joke even if it didn't come out that way.

I didn't think 11-yr old were allowed to have Facebook pages
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

I agree the teacher didn't say she found your son sexy......

she just used it as a term of how his peers saw him...

i agree too she was just remarking on her observations of course the teacher isnt after your 11 year old son, what would you think if a male teacher had said this would you have thought he was after your son too.

i dont see anything wrong with what she has said as others have said she is just reporting on what she has heard and seen

Quite right, Facebook terms and conditions clearly state you must be 13 or older to have a Facebook account an they are very strict on it. They will immediately cancel any account they discover set up for or by someone underage and can ban that individual from future registration.

OP I would make sure the Facebook page is cancelled straight away.

'Sexy' is a widely used term now instead of 'desirable'. 'Sexy Politics' springs to mind. I really wouldn't worry.

If , on the other hand, the teacher in question had remarked 'Your son is sexually attractive to me', i'd be concerned.
