Once they've priced themselves out of the market, they'll go bust and we can all have the last laugh.
Ryanair are hoping to increase passenger numbers to 80 million this year, increasing their fleet to 305 aircraft.
They also have a thousand jobs on offer. Don't all rush at once:

Shame you can't buy a second ticket for a bag and have it on a seat next to you because it'd probably be cheaper!
With these charges they are basically saying "travelling with checked baggage? we don't want your business thanks" much like they did a while ago with skis.
You can buy an extra seat for a musical instrument though. Anyone fancy trying to take a viola case full of clothes on a flight? Sadly though the musical instrument only gets a seat, and isn't allowed any hand luggage.other airlines are often so much cheaper overall. Unfortunately, Ryanair is the only airline to fly from anywhere in the UK to my destination in Spain (about which I have no choice as I must go on this course for my degree, paid out of my own pocket), and for two months out there, just taking hand luggage isn't exactly feasible. Wahey for my course being even more expensive this year! Flights last year were a Ryanair bargain at over 200 pounds booked well in advance.
Probably not when you're limited to 10kg, but www.onebag.com is great for how to travel light. It might even be cheaper to take one bag and post stuff to yourself for the rest of your things.
I've just done a months travelling with one bag, it was big enough for the hold and weighed 14kg coming back though (less when I went because I didn't have any bottles of alcohol with me then!). It wasn't full though, so if I didn't have loads of medical equipment/meds then I'd have been able to manage with cabin baggage only.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

13% increase in aircraft numbers and only a 5% increase in passenger numbers doesn't seem a good idea, but then what do I know about running an airline?0 -
10kg of luggage is plenty fo a weeks holiday if you are areful with what you pack and give some thought to it, cant recommend enough taking or borrowing a kindle for reading material. Dont know what all the fuss is about Ryanair, have flown with them many times, if you follow instructions on their website re checking in, baggage sizes etc no problems. If you dont like them dont book with them, simples!enjoy every day, you dont know how long youve got!:o0

I laughed when I read this story. All these 'fees' are basically fines designed to catch people out. Good luck with that, I'll be flying on BA for £27 + miles return..... Enjoy your flights.0

I'm sure I saw an internet terminal with printer at an airport somewhere specifficially advertising that for 10 EUR or so it could print on-line boarding cards - presumably for people who forgot them.
I suspect that is why Ryanair introduced the 4 hour limit to print boarding passes before chek-in to stop people using them.0 -

Im sure when you have built an airline to over a billion Euro turnover a year, then you can advise them of what's a good idea or what's not.0 -

Not advice, just my thoughts based on simple arithmetic.0
