Just claimed a £5 voucher from Justtheanswer... this is going to be a slow month, I can feel it.0

Everyone seems to be doing so well so far and I've got... nothing. It's been a bit of a mad week on the assignment front but hoping I can get properly kick started on this after this weekend. All your additions seem to motivate me£2012 in 2012 challenge: £915.28/£2012
November £5/day challenge: £276.05/£150
December £10/day challenge: £489.10/ £310

Also got new sets of undies for £8. Not sure how much to put down as saved on these.... original retail value comes in at £56, but I would never of paid that much.... then again £8 was a real bargain, I would of expected to pay £13 more than I did... What do people think I should put down?
Hadn't even thought about counting this sort of thing so thanks
I bought a bra that was £16.80 in the sale and I paid £30 for exactly the same one in a different colour. It's amazing so I'd have been happy to pay £30 again so I'm going to count it as £13.20 saved. And I needed stockings and was going to buy some at £5 last week, then at the weekend my aunt gave me a bag full of unused tights and a pair of stockings exactly like what I need was in there. So another £5 saved.
Also I recently received a 10% off code when the ann summers site was being really slow, so I used that and saved £6 off my order. Also got cashback but won't count that until I'm paid it.
This is proving to be more confusing than I first thought, so if I could have a copy of the spreadsheet Mennie I would be really grateful.pheonixrising21 wrote: »Personally, I would go for when I get the cash in my paws, in which case I have £69.89 cashback in my hands today from the end of last year!
I'm also going with this approach. Which is good for me as I had £40 in my valued opinions account from last years surveys.0 -
I'm up to £12 now, I need to buy a new printer found one on ebay last night, guy had listed it for £65 but had a make an offer option, I offered him £50 he's come back with a counter offer of £60 so I've taken him up on it coz I am desperate for the printer. I'm counting the £5 I've saved towards this challenge
I've also sold a pair of shoes on Ebay today but not counting that till the money is in my bank, I'm also planning to count any savings I make when I go do our food shop.
Is anyone keeping a spreadsheet tally? I'm finding it really useful
Huge thanks to everyone who takes the time and effort to post all the comps! :T

Corr you are all going for it. Im still thinking of where to put it! Six months ago we had to start living on a tight budget and have done really well, but always spent up at the end of the month. SO on top of any extras I can make, am also going to count any savings, but real ones that end up in my special place( once I ve worked out where it is lol! ) am hopeful for January as we are still on sprout soup and Christmas dinner leftovers. I dream of pasta, burgers, jacket potatoes, simple food that doesnt involve turkey cheese cranberry sauce and sprouts ha ha .
My slow and steady pace involves setting a target that by tomorrow I will have counted the piggy bank, checked any cash back ready to cash in, joined several more survey sites and set up a special savings place so I can count it. In the last six months of lurking I have become fab at getting bargains, but now the next phase is, not to spend money in the first place, bargain or not.

Well the man in the post office thought I was mad when I posted 20 parcels of ebay goodies today!
I've started clearing my clutter but have so much more to go I think ebay will be my main source of income over the next few weeks. I've currently made £86.03 after postage, costs etc from old clothes and DVDs.
Personally I'm only counting actual income I've made which will be going into a savings account as I think it would be too confusing to count savings and I know I wouldn't be disciplined enough to add that money to my savings.#55 in £2012 challenge - £169.87 / £20120 -
if i cash out this year, its counts this year
Me too! It'll be too confusing otherwise. So if I made the money last year but it doesn't go in my bank account until 2012, I count it. On the same note, if I make money this year but it doesn't arrive in my bank until 2013 I'll have to count it as part of next year's challenge if there is one (though I'd best not get ahead of myself!)Everyone seems to be doing so well so far and I've got... nothing. I haven't done anything either! Although I did unexpectedly sell a book on Amazon on New Year's Eve - it had been up there for ages before someone bought it - I'm counting it for this year though as I haven't got the money in my account yet.
Oh, I almost forgot - I have a Halifax Reward current account and credit card from which I make £5 per month each - I've just got January's money so I have my first £10 towards the challenge :TSealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

What is everyone doing with their money? Are you putting it into a separate savings account or adding it to your usual savings? I think I might just lump it all into my ISA to save having to open a separate account. I made my own version of the spreadsheet so I can see how much I have saved from this challenge.
I'm not sure what to do about vouchers - just spend them and add the total to the spreadsheet, or spend them and add the equivalent amount of money to my savings account?Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225
