Just saved £3.99 delivery charge from Next who have mucked up my order. I would have liked a voucher as it is a bit of a mess, but think I need to toughen up and perfect my negotiating skills a bit more. :D
  • I have just packaged up an old mobile to go off to CEX which will get me £47 and have a few bits on ebay finishing over the weekend. The ebay stuff is sitting at about £22 but I am hoping it will be up to about £40 by the time the auction finished.

I am aiming to try and get as much on ebay over the next wee while, aiming to list at least 8 items a week till I have nothing left to sell.

Nothing more to add from me. Got a few surveys to do but won't be able to cashout at most places for a while yet...

    And we're off......
Piggy bank had £ 13 of bagged pennies, cashback has £2 to transfer (ebay, all little amounts but add up) and when i phoned the bank to open a savings account for this challenge, they shut an obsolete one at same time and released my £3 .
This challenge will help me stay abit more structured in my hair brained schemes. So my next task by next friday is to
    1) finally cancel my mobile contract that ive been meaning to do since July!!!
    2) calendar all my bill renewals to switch and save. Most logically come up on the anniversary of buying our house, which is soon .....
    3) work out why oh why oh why my savings are still sat in my current account earning zilch interest, and give myself a good talking to about such bad habits.

Have been enjoying all the posts but so many to reply to.... loved the fix your own electrical thing. Well done! THis morning we fixed both car headlight bulbs which blew yesterday. Sooooo easy once we'd spent hours wriggling our fat fingers into the tiny space. Its the joy and pride of learning skills , as much as the money saving. So far we have fixed the toilet, fitted our own plumbing, and now car stuff. We are amazing ourselves and loving it. often just search on google and there will be a video somewhere showing you how to fix things.

Ok then - I'm in, and will add to my signature. Hopefully whilst I go-a hunting, a number will be allocated to me!
