After doing a tot up of all the change in my room and sorting my bank accounts out and actually budgeting I have £450!! That's £450 I would have found a reason to spend and now I have a reason to save it wooo :D
  • Got £10 from Valued Opinions and £25.56 mobile phone cashback so that's a good start. Will have a good go at ebay this weekend and see if I can clear the clutter a bit - bound to be thousands of people doing exactly the same thing!

  • If anyone has a debit card with Lloyds TSB then you should sign up to their "save the change" scheme.
It rounds up any purchases on your card to the nearest pound, and puts those extra pennies in your savings account (provided you have opened one with them of course!)
As most purchases are usually near a full pound anyway because of most prices ending in 99p, you only round up by a few pence each time, so it's not enough to miss, but soon adds up in your savings!
Thought I'd give you all a head's up!
  • One of the companies I sent some books off to (https://www.webuybooks.co.uk) paid me today - same amount as stated on their website, £16 straight in to my bank account. Very happy with them - only sent the books midway through Tuesday so a very quick process. That £16 has now been transferred into my ISA :)

  • I saved £104 overtime and £2.56 in shopping offers :)
  • I am getting the hardest earned £1 of the challenge, doing a survey at the moment that involves watching trailers for programmes. I must have sat through about 10 of them and I am only half way through it..

I've decided, as i'm so awful at remembering to make sandwiches for work, I will give myself a daily food budget of £2.50, anything not spent out of that will go in savings as well (sometimes its a little more, but it'll make me consciously cut down!)

Found my YouGov is dead and deleted, typical, had about £20-£25 in there, but my fault for not using it! So starting again!

Wow you are all doing so well!!!

I am up to £29.17 from my halifax reward account payingmem the £5, the neighbour dropping in a bag of tatties and using my boots card to payfor something

I have won a comp too, just a travel book worth £15.99, I wont count the £15.99, just the amount I make from selling it.

Keep up the fab work everyone and I will get all the newbies added later today
