I have a seperate account and I transfer the money made into that - it's destined for new furniture/improvements to our new house - if we ever move!
If you've not got credit card/loan etc debts and are doing this to try and make a bit of extra money to save up I think it's nice to put it all in an account and save it up for something at the end.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hi,
I'd like to give this a go too. As other folk have said the £12,000 & millionaire challenge are way out of my grasp.
Counted out my loose change last night and that came to £20, so we're off.
Going to stick any money I make or save into a seperate bank account. I dont have a lot of stuff to sell on ebay but I'm going to try and stop smoking and take a packed lunch to work instead of buying sandwiches and stick the money I'd normally spend on that in a seperate account.
Good luck everyone and I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year.Make £2012 in 2012 Challenge No.155: £85.40/£20120 -
Second mystery shop of the year! Small payment and some purchases I get refunded, so added those in too. Also expecting a £10 M&S voucher through the post from a savings account I set up, so will add that when I get it/spend it.
I'm enjoying this, its getting me back into the mystery shopping!Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -

Had a good day.:j Found £5 note on pavement (second time in 3 months - last time it was a tenner!). Nobody about who might have dropped it. Then in post received free book of stamps for damaged parcel and bought a railcard free by doubling up Tesco vouchers. Have sold one 99p item eBay and will list a few more things next free listing day. Also Daily Mail £2.50 voucher should arrive soon and I have £26 to collect from Second Hand Shop but that will have to wait till I'm in the area (not very local). Can't waste petrol just to collect!“Rain drops are not the ones who bring the clouds.”0

I'm just catching up after the holidays - Happy New Year to everyone!
So many of you are doing so well already. Not sure I can count my saving - what are your views. I had to change a light fitting the other day, normally a simple job, but when I took the old one off it was a mass of wires. Hadn't a clue what to do, but popped down to B&Q for what I thought I needed. Turns out the store electrician told me it was really a job for an electrician and given that it was New Years Day would cost in the region of £200!! Yikes! However the bloke sat me down and gave me step by step instructions on how to do it - 2 days later I finished the job (although my door bell has stopped working now - but actually enjoying not having my daughters ring it all the time). Not a cash in bank type of saving, but it saved me paying out for something I hadn't a clue about before and would have either blown the house up or ended up getting an electrician out for. What do you reckon - should I count it?
I've started doing my YouGov surveys again and have entered a load of competitions.
Not put anything on ebay yet. I've got my car insurance due for renewal this month so I'm going to see how much I can save there - although I did hear that premiums went up for woman last year so I'm not hopeful.
Where do people get their coupons or vouchers from? I know MSE has a section, but is there anywhere to get pennies of your food - ie 15p off a tin of beans type? Given how popular couponing seems to be getting I'm sure I'm missing them somewhere.0 -

I have a bookcase I want to sell so when I am at Sainsbury's at the weekend I am going to put a card up on their advertising board. Hopefully it will sell this month0
