    I find the smell of alcohol horrible,same as the drunken behaviour that comes with over using. Finding the look or smell of something horrible is not the end of the world.

    Same could be said of cooking strong smelling food, doing certain DIY, smoking legal cigarettes or burning rubbish.

    If she complained about them doing any of those would we be telling her she had the right to stop them?

    My post should have said "smoke" any other drug, not take.

    I still stand by the fact that they are being selfish
    My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)

    OP hasn't asked them to stop smoking just to stop causing her house to stink. I think that is more than fair, they can open the windows, smoke in the garden, buy a vapourizer or buy a ventialtion system.

    Agreed, however alcohol and paracetomal are legal and cannabis is not.

    Though IMO if they can smoke where it doesn't affect others I have no problem with it.
