Can anyone help..... I have received a phone call from a company called "reclaim today" who are claiming that if I pay them £39.99 they will send me within 3 days legal documents that will get my full amount of bank charges back plus 7% interest. I thought this would all happen through my own bank and think it sounds dodgy. Anyone help?? Anyone had the same? thanks0

How did they get your number?

sorry if there is already a thread on this topic but i cant find it...
so yes, id like my bank charges back, but it seems rather difficult at the moment, and with the possibility of the banks winning this court case, it could be the last oppurtunity. i have seen a few websites offering to do the work for you in exchange for a percentage of your pay out, no win no fee etc...
the best looking site i found was bankcharges.biz, who charge 10%. id happily part with this amount to have this all taken care of for me, and their website says all the right things, but i would like to hear from anyone who has used this or any other site, successfully of otherwise, before i sign up.

Hello All.
I have just got off the phone from someone who said they worked for upiltd, He explained how they could help reclaim all my bank charges, and all the legal blah blah that went with it, but at the end of it, he wanted my account number and sort code! Apparently they needed them to put in the legal documents which would be sent to me for my signature, Everything he said to me was detailed on the website upiltd.co.uk, (but anyone could setup a site) so i got the impression he was reading from the site, so i told him to call back at a later date.
Has anyone else been contacted by this company or had simular calls?
Is the company a legitimate company or a scam?
I have tried to phone the number on the website, but got an answering machine, surprise, surprise.
Regards

I have recieved a phone call from this company today. They have offered to reclaim my bank charges for a one off charge of £49.99, refundable if they are unsuccessful. The are confident of complete success. Has anyone else used this company before? I am tempted as it would save me alot of tome and effort and if they are kosher I dont mind spending the £50 . thoughts anyone?0

I too havr recieved a similar call and have posted a simliar thread to yours. I am interested in the validity of this company as I would be quite happy to spend £50 if it meant that I was able to retreive my charges0

They are a legitimate business and I have checked their authorisation on the claimsregulation government website.
They are based in Neath in Wales. If you need to search out a legitimate firm here is the link
http://www.claimsregulation.gov.uk/search.aspx?search=simple&business=&authID=&type=-1§or=-1&county=-1®ion=-1&status=6
right at the bottom. Look at their website spot the CRM number and simply input the number in the search engine at the bottom.0 -
Read their site carefully. They don't actually claim the charges back for you, you have to do that. All they do is send you a pack of template letters and reclaiming guide.WHAT UPI (UK) Ltd WILL DO FOR YOU?
Send you a complete reclaim pack which consists of:- 8X Personalised letters for you to take to your bank
- 4X Legal documents to aid with your reclaim
- 1X Step by Step Guide to reclaiming your money
- 1X The law explained booklet
- 1X Confidential password and reference number for our unique Helpdesk.

Hello,
Yesterday I was contacted via phone by a representative of Total Refund Ltd. Who claimed that they could get my bank charges returned. He went on to say that this company is regulated by the Office of Fair Trading and then continued to state how the government monitors this company so they could not ask questions on my sensitive information.
He then said that for a fee, £74.95, my bank charges could be reclaimed because of the recent action in the courts. I was a bit wary and required a bit more substance. Anyway they ran me through the process of what they would do.
I am asking if anyone else has heard of/from this company and whether they would reccommend attempting to reclaim my charges through them?
Cheers.
P.s. They gave me an address, VAT registration number and a contact number and website.

They cannot do anything you can't do yourself for no fee. Personally, I would steer well clear.0
