Hi all
My bro has a claim in at HSBC at the moment and he has been palmed off with the usual gumf. He is however just holding fire until the test case progresses.
Anyway, the other day he calls me to tell me that he has received a call on his mobile phone from a company offering to take on his claim against HSBC for a percentage of his claim. Thankfully he told them where to go and called me (I have successfully claimed against HSBC last year). Unfortunately he didn't get the name of the company calling him.
Now, my suspicions are raised as to how this company got his moblie number and knew that he had a claim against HSBC. Has anyone else had a similar situation? Is there anything my bro can do to further his claim with HSBC?
Thanks all, have a good day!Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

I was called today from a mobile number by someone claiming to be for the Bank Charge Recovery Service. he told me that free of charge he could get my bank charges back in 6-8 weeks despite the test case putting them on hold.
I was a bit suspiscious of this so did not give out my personal details or bank info.
He has now text me details of their customer service number, website, company registration number and say they are regulated by the ministry of justice and gave me an authorisation code so I can check out the legitimasy of the company and he will phone me back on monday.
Is this a scam to get my bank details or is there such a service ?
My gut feeling about this is not good.0 -
I have been approached via telephone by a company claiming that they can help me get my bank charges back within 8-12 weeks. They want me to pay them £49.99 up front before they send me a package to complete and return. They have given me their head office address & tel also a website. They told me they were reg with FSA. I've checked out the website & there was a reg number there however i cannot see them registered with the FSA. has anyone else been approached by similar services??0
