  • Update from my earlier post! Has anyone used this company to claim their bank charges. They are still saying they can get your charges for you in less than 10 weeks as they go by a different route. Is there an expert from Martin's Money who could check this company out?ffice:office" /><o>:p></o>:p>
The company phoned again and this time we have their name and website<o>:p></o>:p>
this is the companies web site, and they also gave us this site to go on: <o>:p></o>:p>
Posted 06/08/07: Last week my partner had a phone call from a company saying they could claim his bank charges for him for a one off payment of £49. They said he wouldn't have to wait for the court case to go through and they could get his money back in 8 to 10 weeks. Has anyone else had this call? Has anyone used a company to get their money back quicker?<o>:p></o>:p>

No sorry, these websites have no place on MSE and as I replied to your last post, what they are saying simply isn't true.

Not too happy about being contacted by a similar company -(phone number was 01253 757069) when Martin and the CAG are showing people how to do it for free.

Wonder where they got my mobile number from?!

Having read this I am getting flashing red lights. As I have advised previously you should only use such firms if they are regulated by a reputable professional body. There are not that many ways of legally reclaiming bank charges. I would ask them which solicitors they use or are they solicitors if they are not solicitors or do not use solictors DO NOT use them as the ombudsman is not dealing with any matters until after the test case which is more than 10 weeks away and only solicitors can issue proceedings on your behalf.
As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person

Claim companies get very short shrift here, and rightly so. They are vultures who take up to 25% from your reclaimed money for doing very little - you can do it better and quicker yourself. All the information you need is on this board.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH

i can comforfirm that despite your specific written instructions to lloyds tsb plc that payment should be directed through licit legal, they have made the cheque for £750.oo payable to you and sent it to you directly.this payment is a partial payment so,please be assured that we are continuing to pursue the bank for the outstanding amount of your claim.i would be grateful if you could let us have your payment for £220.31p being the success fee of 25%including vat on the amount referred to in your account
sam, send them nothing....they havent done anything, this gesture is of the banks own free will .....now sack the W****rs and go it alone.
  • I have been using licit legal to reclaim my bank charges too since january and my bank has paid in full to licit legal 12 days ago i too have tried contacting them on two telephone numbers and by visiting the website with no luck! i have however found a telephone number which does get answered although i still feel they are fobbing me off with excuses each time i ring them. they say they have no access to tell me about my case, i rang this weekend and they said they will get back to me monday morning so i will wait and see? i am however getting concerned due to the lack of communication from them the tel no i rang is: 01614426344 good luck
