I am still waiting to hear from The Sun. In the meantime everybody else who wants this shambolic situation publicised should contact them. The more people behind this the more likely they are to consider it newsworthy.
They can be contacted on https://www.thesun.co.uk and go to the contact us section at he bottom of the web page.
What harm can it do?0 -

You wont ever get a response to your e-mail, trust me, I have been waiting since mid October.
You might eventually get an acknowledgment (I sent 4 e-mails and only got 1 acknowledgment) but you will never get an actual response, as there is no process in place to give you one. This part is especially true if you asked any questions or made suggestions as to what they could do to speed things up.
What will happen is - You will eventually get your money back, at which point the PPI team will close your complaint and hope that you go away; as far as they care they have dealt with your concerns (even if you raised extra ones about the delay that they have not dealt with) you will be expected to be grateful.
Your emails will either fall into a black hole, be swept under the carpet or sit in an inbox which has so many messages it is unfeasible to imagine they will ever be responded to. A conservative estimate of 100,000 e-mails which each take 10 mins a piece to deal with (and this is unlikely to be the case, mine would have required about 2 hours for a response) would take about 2,000 man days to deal with, Lloyds wont be spending this time as there is nothing in it for them.
All of the above is based on my observations and a number of years of experience dealing with this sort of thing. If you want some progress call the FSA helpline (number is on their website) and ask them to kick some !!! on your behalf.Money Saving IQ 142 - Does that mean I am tight?0 -
I'd rather go to a more reputable paper, I'm not a fan of the !!!!!. But worth a shot
Me neither (apart from the football pages) but it seems to be the most likely to run with it and it has a sufficiently large readership to maybe frighten LTSB.
Why not try lots of different papers?0 -

My credit card was with Lloyds so they knew I was not bluffing, maybe if you break it down to them and make it clear in no-uncertain terms that you will be making an additional claim for the lost interest it may push them along.
I also have a theory that the repayment date depends uppon the date you make your loan payment as they paid me on the 9th and stated it could take up to 21 working days to recalc my loan balance and ongoing payments meaning that they will get at least 1 more installment at the higher amount in December.
Plus their ongoing receipts wont take a hit until the new year which underpins the figures on their P&L and Balance Sheet for 2011.
Or maybe I am just seeing things that aren't really there
'We are working towards your payment by 6 December, hopefully'
Mentioned 19,000 payments sent out last week, 'no knowledge of that'

Don't forget everyone when Lloyds eventually do get their finger out to ring HMRC I wouldn't want anyone liable for a tax bill after all their efforts!! It's disgraceful that the tax man is feeding off a refund!!!0

I owe £700 but HMRC initially wanted me to do a self assessment in April however I am employed by an employer and didn't want to do self assessment. Therefore they have decided to change my tax code for the next 12 months to pay slightly more tax through my income rather than a bulk payment. Much easier if you ask me and this way I get to keep my refund! Mind you I must check my code reverts back within 12 months. I think somewhere down the line Lloyds will have to inform HMRC exactly what they've paid out which could take years. I think being honest now will save a big headache when they catch up with the individuals who haven't declared. i hope you get your money soon i got mine 2 weeks ago in the first batch of payments. All seems quiet for everyone now??0
