I just jumped out of my seat and went "OMG OMG OMG"... I maybe a little pre-emptive as the payment isn't showing on my HSBC just yet.... but....

I'm feeling quite tearful at the relief of them paying me, I've been in a panic the last few days that I won't have a bed or enough money to live on when I move house at the end of the month. I've also been in a massive panic about my debts, even though they're not as massive as some other peoples I still struggle with them. This is the best news I've heard from Lloyds in a long-time. Will update in the morning to let you know if the payment went through.

    BOOM! Good News! :)

Well done you, really pleased for you :):):)

Also, it proves Barry does check her email!

Probably checked the one from Mike Freer the MP, she probably thought she was getting a Knighthood BOOM :rotfl:

    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)
  • Does anyone know how the loan restructuring process works? Is it just knocking off the PPI premium or do they take account of the fact that my loan amount has accrued interest whilst I have been paying the PPI part instead if the loan itself?

I don't think it was my email calling her imcompetent that did it, nor the one that said I was disgusted with the customer service and copied in the FSA, or the one where I threatened her with my MP.... but I definitely think it was my MP that made the difference. Well done Mike Freer, you might be a torie but you've just made my Dad really happy to hear that Lloyds are paying for the turkey this year with the extra 3 months interest.

  • Well just to recap I got 4 letters all dated the 4th October, and I am currently awaiting payment. As an active LTSB customer it will be via BACs.

I like many have been phoning them to find out when the payment will be due and today they told me it would be within 16 weeks from the date of the first letter. How can they justify a 4 month timescale? They have the payment amounts due and the account to pay out too - simple send the payment?

What am I missing? Backlog or no backlog they have the information available to execute the payment.

And there will be no recalculated letter for as previously promised.

    Unreal and exhausting.

Has anyone from that date, beginning of October, been paid yet?

    Hi there

Still waiting, we received an email end of Sept to let us know a offer was on the way, we received this beginning of October, they will be sending cheques, but up to now still waiting too.

We no longer bank with them, which is why they will be sending cheques, hope you receive your refund soon, good luck.

Thanks but I have a feeling this will be a long wait ... still hoping it comes in December.

It does bother me deeply though about the back office processes and systems in use by LTSB, and there's a little niggle telling me that they are not be fully honest and disclosing the true reason for the delays.

My hubby checked his emails just now, as he not long signed in, he was left with an email just to say "please be assured your refunds have been processed and will be with you shortly".

    Time will only tell.;)

    I know what you mean.
You could go the MP route who may chase this up for you, it seems to be working for some.;)
