I'm going to give it a little longer, as I note that many have been waiting longer than myself, mine was complained about in July 2011 and the offer end of Sept, still waiting but will give them until the end of this month, if nothing by then I may take a visit.
Saying that I have emailed them over the last week to ask for an update but heard nothing, which is why I will give it until the end of this month, see what happens from there.
Hope you receive your refund soon, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
Can anyone help, apart from the delay from Lloyds regarding payment. I have read you have to pay hrmc inland revenue 20% of the interest recieved ? is this true ? and how are we supposed to do this and why? when did compensation become extra income, and why has the banks not explained this on offer letter ?
can anyone help as I am sure it will be affecting a lot of us.
Hi, check this out: Debt wizard .com for details of tax on ppi payments.

Just made my daily call, and the goalposts have been changed again. From being told last week it will be any day, I now have it will be weeks now rather than months. I told them I'd already been waiting months from my initial offer letter of August 16th. To which the reply came 'oh just ignore that letter'. This is honestly an absolute joke. No wonder the banks are going to the wall. My loan got restructured on oct 18th, which I noticed myself on online banking. Nobody told me this was happening. So whites the delay now? I asked for a refund on my phone calls they said we can't do that as there are other ways of contacting us like emails or in writing, to which we get automated responses. This whole thing is an absolute shambles which I am convinced will at some point blow back up in to headline news. Th amount of people who are now utterly !!!!ed off with the whole situation does not bode well for people deciding to open an account with this lot. In my entire life I have never dealt with such bad service.0

Well week 11 since offer letter! Still no new letter with added interest, no reply to my daily email! I've decided to give up phoning as when I got the phone bill it was costing £4.90ish and I thought I'd end up out of pocket once I ever receive any of my money.
FOS have no powers and just keep chasing them for my payment, if they can't get them to then what chance do I have?!?!?
This whole thing is the biggest banking joke ever, Santander are phoning/writing to their customers asking them if they could of been mis-sold ppi. My dad and friend wrote a letter posted it, got a reply and paid in a total of 3 weeks, a whole 21 working days, if only lloyds could learn from them!0 -
Lloyds were the first to withdraw from challenging the decision on PPI, initially I was naive enough to think that they were actually being the "good guys" and putting customers first. NOBODY can tell me that they didn't know how many policies had been sold, otherwise, how did they come up with a figure to put aside for compensation? And, knowing that they MIST have been aware of how many complaints to anticipate!
I have considered small claims court, but for two reasons I have decided against it, the first being that friends in civil law have warned me that I will need to defend my claim (five of my repayments are for very old loans which I no longer have any paperwork for and although it was missold to me, the burden of in court is much higher than in this complaints procedure, proving
negligence in the selling process would be difficult) secondly, it will slow the process even further as court action and dispute of the compensation will mean my claim is effectively "frozen" until the court make a final decision, which even then may well allow Lloyds up to 60 days to repay me.........
I have emailed my MP twice and received no response, the FOS have said all they can do is contact Lloyds and ask them when my payment will be as the normal timescale for complaints has been waived.....
Daily call update- I didnt bother today, my OH is welsh and is a very nice lady, so to save the cost of the call I will just ask her to tell me a massive pack of lies and misinformation when she gets home instead.

Just wondering everyone how do HMRC know that I have received a PPI refund? Surely they must find out otherwise why would anyone bother informing HMRC? Should I contact them or if I ignore it will they find me out??
Hope everyone's money comes soon xx0 -

HMRC are asking the banks paying 8% interest GROSS for recipients details, if you don't inform them of any GROSS payments they will catch up with you and could fine you for not declaring it. Don't risk itSuccesses

I just jumped out of my seat and went "OMG OMG OMG"... I maybe a little pre-emptive as the payment isn't showing on my HSBC just yet.... but....
I'm feeling quite tearful at the relief of them paying me, I've been in a panic the last few days that I won't have a bed or enough money to live on when I move house at the end of the month. I've also been in a massive panic about my debts, even though they're not as massive as some other peoples I still struggle with them. This is the best news I've heard from Lloyds in a long-time. Will update in the morning to let you know if the payment went through.
WTG kerri_dfw :T and well done Mr FreerSuccesses
