Finally, I rang LLoyds again today and I have all my money paid, however they did pay my cash into an acct I havent used in 7yrs:eek:, thankfully it wasnt closed. I wish everyone good luck with getting their money, I must admit I didnt think It would ever come.
  • Hi
Can anyone help, apart from the delay from Lloyds regarding payment. I have read you have to pay hrmc inland revenue 20% of the interest recieved ? is this true ? and how are we supposed to do this and why? when did compensation become extra income, and why has the banks not explained this on offer letter ?

can anyone help as I am sure it will be affecting a lot of us.

Rang Lloyds today regarding payment for credit card PPI, offer letter dated 12th September. Following two phone calls last week where emails where sent from customers services to the credit card ppi dept - which of course I am not allowed to speak to myself, lol - I am now told my payment has no yet been sent (relieved really as I thought it may have been lost in the post), I am now told that my payment is 'towards the top of the spreadsheet'. Apparently this means it will be paid 'soon' though no timescale can be given.

In real terms I know nothing more other than the payment has not yet been sent - at least its not in some ancient forgotten bank account - but I'm hopeful I may see it 'soon!'. Hope this is useful to anyone in a similar situation. No mention by the way of the interest being recalculated, I will look at that myself once I finally get the original amount. Come on Lloyds, Santas relying on you!

well done was it paid by bacs they have toldme a bacs payment was issued on friday but dont know whether to believe them
  • Ah ok thanks =) I only normally call on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Love to believe this but I'm August with no payment and noone can tell me what is going on. Got my MP involved and included the FSA in my last email to highlight the disgusting way complaints are being handled. Really pleased people are being paid, but I have a bed to buy in 3 weeks or I'm sleeping on an airbed when I move house.

I emailed my MP and the FOS this morning..... I doubt anything I do will have any impact but it feels better telling someone outside our little forum exactly how badly we are being treated..... I look forward to tomorrows daily call to Lloyds for another example of being told lies, half truths and excuses! ..... I know how you feel about the bed Kerri, if I don't get my payment soon I won't be able to go to work since my car will remain broken and immovable! :(

Congrats!! Looks like I have another 3 weeks or so at least to wait then since my acceptance letter was 30 Aug and actual offer including figures wasn't until 19 Oct! :(
  • i called the helpline today to see if they could tell me if my payment has been sent, but the man said i would need to speak to refunds as he wasn't able to check on his system! he asked when my letter was dated and how much i was expecting and then told me i would definetly get it before the date (28 nov). he asked if i had a current up to date account to which i told him i hadn't used for years, so he took my sort code and account number so he could check and he said it had been closed (yippee!), he then said you will definetly get a cheque payment and will most certainly be before the date stated!

sounds promising, but we all know about LTSB and their empty promises.

From recalling speaking to one of my mates at uni years ago, your bank can see if a bacs payment is due to go in. HSBC can normally show me my wages a day before they go in, as that's done by BACS. Worth giving them a call.

  • I have given up phoning it only aggregates me more, I was told 2weeks ago about this re structure letter and advised I'll get the money before the letter probably however I called them Friday to be told that my letter hasn't even been sent yet and it wasn't on the system, my offer letter is dated 24th October it will be 8 weeks on Friday!!!

When I accepted my offer of payment, I asked for this money to be paid into another bank not lloyds, when I rang today I was told that my money had been paid into my lloyds acct, this acct I don't even have a bank card for (not touched since 2004) they told me that they wont pay any money into any other accts other than lloyds, this was paid I believe by bacs on the 9 Nov and has been sat there until I chased it up today.:)
