This is the first time I have posted..... but I had my first letter from LTSB accepting that I had a claim in August, I refused to return the paperwork until they had given me details of how much. On September 16th I had a letter to say it would be £12,876.32 I was happy with that to say the least !! I have waited and finally rang on the 10th November having received another letter upping the amount to £12,976.32. I was told that it was probably in my account......strange as I haven't used my Lloyds account in 6 years (they refuse to close it)....but true enough there it was !!! I have received nothing to tell me that it was there if I hadn't have rung I would have been none the wiser. As soon as I found out I transferred it to the current I have that has nothing to do with Lloyds. The sting in the tail now that is worrying me is the tax I now have to pay on this as I have no idea of how much ? Any ideas anyone ?0

Congratulations carol lesley :T As far as the tax implications are concerned you have no way of knowing unless you get a breakdown of the payout from LTSB either in writing or verbally as you need to know how much of that figure was the 8% standard interest. Also you need to find out if the 8% standard interest was paid GROSS or NET because you only pay tax on the 8% if it was paid GROSS. Give LTSB a ring and find outSuccesses

hi, not posted for a while as no progress but got the revised letter on wednesday. first put claim in april, payment due 13th oct, new letter with interest paid until 28th nov. my surname is B.
just wondering how many people have received cheques as my account is dormant so cant check online banking, but still receive occasional letters regarding bank account so i know they haven't closed it. they said i will get a cheque payment but i don't believe them!
any help appreciated x0 -
They have put just under half what they owe me in to my current account. They have increased the amount i have outstanding on my loan by, I reckon, about 200% and reduced my monthly repayments to reflect cancelled ppi. !!!!!!?!!!0

Hi
In my view, your loan repayments should now be less, so do write to them and ask what is going on, as you should not now be still paying the same amount as if your still paying for the PPI, do point this out to them, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Did they actually explain on your offer letter on how they were going to refund the PPI?
They should keep to that offer, so if they have changed this without you accepting the change, put in a further complaint, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi
The last 8 or 8 loan ppi refunds were received into my chosen bank account, as I closed my account with Lloyds almost 2 years ago, but these last 2 loan ppi that is due to me are going to be sent by cheque refunds.
Received the offers late Sept by email and letters early October.
Surname "E"
I assume if you will receive cheque payments.
Hope you receive this soon, fingers crossed. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Offer letter was 12th September 2011 and surname T
Seriously fed up of all of this waiting now.
P1ssed off.
The day I get my payment is the day I change banks.
Hi Danny
Its frustrating isn't it?
Hope you receive your money soon, and as the CEO is away sick at present, you could always try contacting your local MP who may help on your behalf, no harm in asking, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
