LloydsTSB PPI Payment

  • Just got off the phone to a pleasant but uninformed automaton at LTSB.

I complained that despite my calculation being on 18/8/11 I still has not received my payment in resepct of my open loan account.

He told me that all letters (I presume for open loans) were sent out last Friday (not yesterday) by 2nd class post and that they contain the revised compensation figure (including extra interest to reflect the delay) and an explanation of how the loan would be restructured.

He said that their instructions to customers is that delivery should take 10 days. I asked whether he was really suggesting that 2nd class post took 10 days and he said that was their information. Blatant lies being fed to us yet again I'm afraid.

I asked when 2nd class post reverted back to using carrier pigeon as a method of delivery but he seemed to have a sense of humour failure.

He said if I disnt get my letter by Wednesday then I should phone back to let them know.

No letter. No Money. No help from lloyds.

Rang up, told all letters sent out two weeks ago - going totally against what I'd be told the last two times I rang - where's mine then? "no copy on file sorry" Er, so I've not been sent one? "all letters sent two weeks ago"... blah blah blah, goes away to check "there's a five week delivery schedule" so call back after that.

What a total load of !!!!!, they just lie lie lie.
  • Don't know if Barry has had her e mail closed due to the amount of
People sending to her but mine got returned this morning as "undelivered" tried calling and it the same old story as everyone else.... If I hear "volume of complaints" or "backlog" one more time I will lose it!!! Lloyds KNEW the amount of loans they had sold PPI on, and after publicly stating they had mis sold they KNEW how many complaints they would get..... It is THEIR job to adequately staff the complaints department, not our job to just put up with constant lies, misinformation and mindless idiots on the end of the phone with little or no sympathy!!!!

Annnnnnnd breeeeeath!! Rant over, carry on waiting :)
  • The daily call to Lloyds produced nothing new..... Letter last week.... Blah blah..... If you don't hear by Wednesday call us back.... Blah..... Payment should follow swiftly after.... Blah blah..... Thousands of payments per day since we found a new way of paying people.... Blah.....
How swiftly is "swiftly"?....... "within a few days sir"
I don't really care you informing me I get a few quid more in interest, just add it to the sum total....."it's a requirement sir"
You're just delaying this to earn a bit more interest off of the PPI reclaim fund aren't you?..... "certainly not sir, there have been genuine issues paying out to people"
So how come there are people who appear to have made their complaint, had it upheld and been paid out within a total timescale of 6 to 8 weeks?......"I don't think that's the case"
Any chance I will see my money before next weekend?...... "I should think so"

I look forward to joining the massive queue of people trying to get through on the phone on Wednesday then......

Hate to burst the bubble, but I got my new letter last Tuesday with the additional interest. This was from my initial offer letter on August 16th. My loan was also fully restructured on oct 18th. And still absolutely no money. There appears to be no order or sense in any of how this is all being carried out.
  • Got my new letters today! :j
