LloydsTSB PPI Payment

  • Started the process on 22 May, signed and sent the acceptance letter 30 Aug, calculation letters arrive 20 Oct..... Telephoned to accept and ask about payment timescale and same story As everyone else "2 to 3 weeks sir, but there is no official timescale".
    Called today to chase it up and told again the same robotic response including the seemingly "cover-all" buzzword of BACKLOG.... I cannot understand the reason for the delay.... It isn't as if they don't know how much they are repaying since they have already told me..... They don't even need to go to the bank to pay it in!

    The very thin silver lining is that apparently they processed 19000 payments yesterday and that now everything will be by BACS..... Which just means I will be having to phone the bank twice a day to check my balance.....

    Anyone else with similar dates actually managed to get paid yet?! It's about time they got the PPI refund money out of whatever high interest account they stashes it in, sto earning money off of it and gave it back to us!!

    My offer letter dated 19th sept with interest caluculated till the 13 oct so im in to 8 weeks now and still no money
  • From what I've seen they've randomly paid people with 16th September yesterday and 22nd September letters today. Mine's 8th August and nothing yet.
    SPC = £15.54 #1413
    £2 challenge = £22
    DEBT =
    [STRIKE]£5030[/STRIKE] £4488.50 (10%)

  • I'm so pleased for everyone who has received their money!

    My offer letter was dated the 1st Sept but no money or letter for me either :(

    I have given up phoning and sending emails, I think it leaves you more frustrated. I'm hoping out for tomorrow. I'm sure tomorrow will come sooner or later. If not I do think there may be an issue with August and early Septembers offers otherwise by my reckoning we should be first in the queue of payments.

    Sorry If I've posted this is the wrong section but I can't find where to start a new Post !!! I'm fairly new at this as I've not posted for a few years.

    Halifax have offered me £4500 refund in PPI do I accept this offer as it's the first offer they have made and also because I'm in a debt plan with payplan will they send me a cheque or will it be taken of my my outstanding balance. Any advice is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi, I am also with Payplan. Just thought you should know that as it is your money, it should be paid into whatever bank account you choose and not one of their own choosing as this would be showing preference, which I think you'll find is not legal!
    After all they "STOLE" the money from you in the first place!!!!
    It is yours by right and worth chasing, I sure as hell are!

    Started claim in July 2010
    Upheld in June 2011
    Offer letter 02/08/2011
    Interest calc to 24/08/2011
    Many phone calls later
    10/11/2011 NOTHING!!!!:mad::mad::mad:
    He who asks is a fool for five minutes, He who does not ask is a fool for life. ;)
  • Weirdly despite receiving the one payment of roughly half yesterday my loan still doesn't appear to have been restructured nor my payments reduced. I was also expecting the other half of the money today via BACS but nothing yet. Oh well i am happy to have had the half given that some people have still not had anything.

    Has anyone on here been offered additional compensation. I know they have added more interest but i believe they where obliged to do that anyway so they haven't actually paid anything for there incompetence. I wonder what the process of asking for compensation is. Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

    Gareth
  • Gareth,
    I received half payment 3 weeks ago and still no loan restructure, still half of money missing! So be prepared for a bit more waiting!!
  • Hi everyone - offer letter received 13th September, 12 grand paid in on Tuesday (the branch phoned wanting to know where the money had come from - yeah, like I can afford to be a drug dealer!!), revised offer letter arrived this morning!

    SO - two massive thank you's: firstly to all you good people who have kept me going when I thought I was the only one struggling out here, and secondly to Martin and the MSE guys for just the best site and forum on the planet - thank you so much.

    And to anyone still waiting - be strong, keep the faith - it will happen.

    Cheers
