Hi I posted this in a topic i raised a few months back
Back in 2007 i took out a loan with lloyds for £5000 which included PPI. Two months after this, I lost my job. This was a new job and I was only with the company for a month. I contacted Lloyds about the PPI and they declined my claim due to me losing my job during my probationary period. At that point I wasnt happy as this was not explained when I bought the policy but left it there as I had other things to concentrate on( getting a new job)
When the PPI misselling issue was raised a few months back I decided to put an official complaint in. Lloyds have logged the complaint and have sent me a response saying the will come back to me within 3 months.
During the period I was out of work I continued to pay back the loan . However the knock on effect left me with a number of other debts(credit cards etc that I had no choice but to use as I had no income). Within a year I had decided to take out another loan(£10000) with lloyds tsb to consilidate the debt I had got myself into. I believe the PPI insurance not paying out had a direct impact on this. Do I stand anywhere with this? I not getting my hopes up with the existing complaint, however do the circumstances I encoutered after my claim was rejected add current weight to my existing complaint?
Thanks
Chris
Lloyds sent across a letter saying that I did not have the right to reclaim the PII and everything was done correctly. This letter was sent to me back in August and had the usual advice of contacting the FSA if I wanted. I didn't as I thought it waould be a waste of time! Now I'm hearing more examples of payments and I'm feeling a little aggrieved that my complaint was not upheld. I know the Fsa have an 8 week guidline to contact them on. Is it worth pursuing further?
Thanks

Sometimes they will change a final rejection decision, so you could write back with further information and tell them, at the end of the day they would not pay out when you tried making a claim, so this policy is worthless to you, and a waste of your money.
Tell them you do not agree and don't feel they have taken your reasons into account and have totally overlooked your case.
Give them 14 days and if you hear nothing or if they do not change the decision, then complain to the FOS.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
