LloydsTSB PPI Payment

  • Hmmm so why are some people getting their full amounts and some not?? Think a call is due to lloyds (for the umpteenth time!)
  • Well received part of the refund this morning but as it relates to an open loan think we got the simple interest due refunded so assume the rest of the refund will be paid in and out of our loan account?

    Anyway glad to receive something!
  • Got my revised amount by bank transfer into my account today.

Still no loan restructuring has happened and the amount of extra interest was paltry in comparison to what Lloyds charged on my credit card but all the same a good result.

I sent a zinger of an email through yesterday but doubt that it had anything to do with getting my payment, it seems they have made a blanket payment to all claimants probably from a batch of those that were well overdue.

I also have my letter which is a poor rehash of the original offer letter (in some places it hasn't even been amended) and it seems that it could take a further 21 days to sort out the loan balance and new repayment.

Credit card bill cleared and cash in the bank for the first time in a while, whatever next?

Just spoke to Lloyds PPi team, they looked into my account and saw the amount i'd received today and told me exactly how much i am still missing. Said they sent a big list to the loan restructure team today and once the restructure has taken place i will be receiving the rest of the balance due via BACS, He couldn't tell me how long this would take but only if I was at the top it would be quicker than if I was at the bottom. (just hope it isn't another 2months)

My original re-calc letter is dated the 8th Sept. My loan is still currently running.

He did ask if i had received my new letter, to my response was no. He told me it was sent yesterday or Monday.

Heres to a good xmas
  • Just come off the phone to a polite lady at Lloyds and when I told her not all my money was paid she said that she didn't understand why it was part paid by the refunds team however I would be receiving the rest. When I told her how much I had got (11.9k) she said that my payment had been recalculated and I would be now receiving £17k!! (Originally was £15.5k) So another £5k to come. She said the loan needs to be restructured and I told her it already had?? She said oh then the rest should be any day now and if nothing within 2 weeks to call back!!!

Still pleased there is movement but not fully closed yet! Well done to all and Happy Shopping!

I received my first confirmation letter 8th sept. stating the amount ill be receiving. Mine was paid straight into the account today, minus the loan restructure amount.
  • It makes no sense, my letter was dated 5th August. Although if these are just loan restructure refunds then that might explain it as I don't have a loan that needs restructuring. Still doesn't seem right though. No point calling them as they know less than we do.

  • I got some of my refund (ppi on a open loan) too. Haven't received my recalculation letter yet but I think I've received the simple interest so hopefully the ppi payments themselves will be refunded any day now.
  • At least it seems as though the wheels are finally in motion. Be nice if I recieved my payment by the end of the week. :p;)
