I only owe 12 months payments - the minus is around 5 times the amount owed.

think you should phone the loan dept, that doesnt seem right, mine has a minus but only for the amount i owe

lloyds tsb are a disgrace!!! started claim 22 sept 2011, got offer letter dated 9th dec, said i would receive payment within 21 days!!! still waiting!! i do have an oustanding loan but lloyds owe me more than my oustanding loan amount. got my mp to write to them in january, still no reply!! i have taken advice from this site and wrote numerous letters and emails, received a computer generated email back yesterday, still cant tell me when i will be paid!!!
anyway decided i dont think i should have to carry on paying my loan when they should of paid it off by now, so wrote to my local branch manager yesterday giving him a months notice that i was cancelling my loan repayments due to the fact that they havent paid me so im not paying them!!!
i have also made an appointment with him for monday to also talk about this in person as it was the local branch that i took my loan out with originally, i will post again when i know the outcome of the meeting on monday. cancelled the loan repayments today!!! im sure i will hear something from lloyds very soon!!!
    good luck to everyone else!!!

had a call from my bank manager lol that didnt take long!!!
  • Hi all ....new here but i have a genuine problem with Lloyds tsb.

several weeks ago i sent in a ppi claim with details of two accounts. one account was a old personal loan i had taken and paid off, the second was the details of my credit card account.

i was offered £2100.00 and i accepted the offer.

I have just been on Lloyds tsb banking site and noticed that they have taken £10 in ppi against my credit card this month....confused here lol.

I am wondering now what i have been repaid and what i should do regarding this ????

Any help or advice would be appreciated ...do you think they may have pulled a fast one here on me ???

    many thanks Boogle365 !

Also, sorry guys, but i've disabled my PMs for 2 reasons.

    1. Despite me putting clear instructions along with my template letters, people were messaging me saying they've set deadlines of 5 days for Lloyds to pay up, or they've sent emails instead of writing letters - and then moaned to me that my template letter didn't work for them.

With no disrespect, the reason that it didn't work is because some of you that PM'd me didn't stick to the 14 day deadline rule, or you sent court threats by email instead of letters.

I know its frustrating having to wait - but the 14 day rule is there for a reason - to give the bank a fair time to pay up. If you demand payment within 5 days/7 days/9 days or whatever, you won't get paid simply because the bank know that you haven't given them a fair 14 days to pay up - and they know you won't win your court case because you haven't given them the minimum 14 days that are specified in the court rules.

With regards to letters instead of emails - the FOS/FSA state that if the banks recieve complaints by letter, then they HAVE to be investigated. That rule does not apply to emails - therefore, the bank will more than likely ignore your emails because they can, without getting into trouble for it.

I know it sounds a bit anal and 'over the top' - but there were reasons why I highlighted these points in my template letters.

    2. I'm going into hospital on Monday for an operation, so I won't be around for a little while. Sorry!

For those of you that did follow my instructions properly and got a payout - well done! Happy spending!

Good luck guys. See you after my op! :D

Gringo, thanks so much for your help and advice. We took it and it worked!
    Good luck with the op

  • Thanks mainly to the excellent information and advice given in this forum, I sent off my PPI questionnaire to Lloyds TSB on 15th Jan. Have now received a letter dated 23rd Feb, offering me £2390 :j

Of course I'm aware I may be waiting a while for payment, but even so it's a huge weight off my shoulders as that amount of money will cover my credit card debt. It's like winning the lottery :rotfl:
