Thanks for this. Would Equifax provide me with details of amounts, etc. from the 1990s? I have learnt this morning after another telephone call that they are upholding one claim from the 1990s but they couldn't provide me with the details as the letter hasn't been uploaded onto their system. How can they uphold one and reject the othe two? I know that I had PPI on all of these loans but without paperwork it is difficult to prove. I have telephoned my branch to ask if they can supply further details. Can I ask if you received a payment and if so what information did you supply to them? Thanks again.
    Hi,
I don't think Equifax would have these details but you can ask. I sent in an SAR to Lloyds to find out as much as I could from all my accounts. I remembered how much the loan was for and how long I had it over. Here's the address for the loans centre, you should send an SAR to them and see what they can find:
    Lloyds TSB Bank Plc
    Personal loan Service Centre
    PO Box 43
    Peterlee
    SR8 2YQ
If you have an account number quote that to them. I have had an offer on the loan from the 90's but no payment as yet. Like everybody else on here, still waiting, but I have written to them to say I'm happy with my offers and when would I be expecting payment. Like Gringo on here, and many others I assume, I have emailed them also threatening legal action if they do not pay up as my claim has been going on since Sept/Oct., so they have had plenty of time!
If they are upholding one of them, you've got a good chance with the others hopefully!

    Good luck!
  • I have sent a number of e-mails but last Friday (17th Feb) I sent 2 more 1 to Tim Tookey and 1 to the CEO and I requested read receipts on both and I had exactly the same response as above today. Are they joking! 10 days to receive an acknowledgement letter!!! I cannot wait to leave this awful bank and get my sanity back.
I have also sent letters in taking Gringos advice but we will see if there is any luck!!
I am due to make my weekly phone call tomorrow, not sure whether to bother or not!
    Hi Guys!
I have also had the same email and have also taken Gringos advise and threatened legal action if they don't pay up! Not had any phone calls yet but am waiting!! Had my offer letters and emailed them to 3 different people also!
This is getting silly now, come on Lloyds, do we all have to email the CEO to get something done or what!!!
  • First confirmation August partial payout for previous loans end of August, Supposedly my case was a priority in November, Still nothing!!!
No replies to emails, Might call today but am not expecting anything, Rediculous!!

    Hi All,

I have recieved the follwing e-mail from Andrea Barry and I'm not sure what to make of it? Does this mean that I am now going to have to wait until 21st March for my payment? I really don't understand why if that is correct. It clearly states the amount has been recalculated so why not just transfer the money into my account?
If anyone has received anything similar or could offer advice on whether I should reply it would be much appreciated.

    Dear Miss ******

Thank you for your recent communication addressed to our Interim Chief Executive, Mr Tim Tookey. It is very important to us to ensure that our customers receive competent yet helpful and friendly advice, during any business dealings they may have with us and I am sorry to hear that you have had cause to voice your concerns with the Business.

We are processing PPI compensation payments within a reasonable turnaround time however we have encountered some delays processing payments for customers with a Lloyds TSB loan. We are looking to resolve this as a priority and have dedicated resource working on this to clear the backlog.

In order to rectify the situation, I have arranged to have your refund re-calculated to include a further 8% interest payment calculated until 21 March 2012, your total refund of *** will be made as a direct payment into your Bank account.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay you experienced was purely due to an unprecedented increase in the volume of complaints we have received.

I trust this has resolved matters between us and would like to thank you for you patience during our investigation and refund process.

    Yours sincerely

Its just another generic response and what seems to be another delaying tactic (they'll blame any further delays on your interest having to be recalculated - by which time, you'll need to have it relaculated again because they'll have gone past the 21st March, and then you'll just keep going round in circles....).

Its pretty much word-for-word what they emailed me, before I decided enough was enough and went down the court route.

Just send them a "final warning" letter in the post and set a fair deadline for repayment - and put the pressure on them.

In the time its taken to email you back, they could have written you a cheque.

Of course, the longer it takes the banks to pay up, the longer its in their bank accounts earning interest....

Phone call today from Lloyds... "are you aware you've been paid twice?"

Er yes, AvB sent us a personally signed letter with an SAE in it to return a cheque too..this was a surprise to LLoyds' employee, almost as much as when I said we had returned the stupid cheque over a month ago. Infact he hadn't even bothered to check his notes saying we were giving them a week to cash the cheque or we would simply move the funds and close the account so they would need to do more chasing..desperate to get away from these pirates. !!!!ing useless!

Oh I so wish they'd have done this to me. I'd have made them wait for 4 months and sent them a generic email each week saying "i'm aware that I owe you money, but unfortunately, i'm really busy and can't give an exact date of when i'll be able to pay you".
  • YEAH our cheque has cleared!!! CC is now a lovely 0!

ON another note, I got someone at work to claim too, she put it in January and got her money in her account yesterday! She beat us by one day and we put our claim in October. There doesn't seem to be any order to it all.

Lets hope they're getting as many paid as possible before the end of the financial year.

    Thank you for your reply.

I have sent an e-mail this morning asking them to let me know a date and suggesting they pay the money into my account today as I see no reason for delaying it any further.
I did send letters on Monday this week, giving them 10 days to pay the money into my account or I will take them to court. Should I now send further letters or just wait the 10 days? I used your template and sent them to the 2 addresses you gave aswell.

This whole situation is so time consuming and stressful, I can't believe that this has been allowed to carry on without intervetion from a financial governing body. How are Lloyds getting away with treating customers this way!! :(
