  • Got paid! Offer letter October 3rd im so happy
  • still nothing for me original letter August, Numerous emails to numerous people no replies:(
  • Nothing for me again today, another phone call me thinks !!!
  • still nothing for me either
  • Thank you :) Yes, I originally complained back in 2010 but as Lloyds said they had no supporting docs they rejected my complaint. I only had the account number but I remember being told I had to have the PPI to get the loan. It went to the FOS and they managed to get an offer of £1200 out of Lloyds, which is apparently their standard offer if no paperwork exists. I hoped to find the original docs when we moved last spring, but was unlucky so after some deliberation I accepted their offer last autumn.

Do you have your loan account numbers at all? If not it might be worth doing a DSAR......

When I did a DSAR to Lloyds back in 2009 they sent me paperwork going back ten years, but although there was obviously nothing relating to the older loan, they did supply a list of all the loans I had taken out over the years so I had the account number if nothing else ;)

DH also received two refunds of £1200 from Lloyds on old loans from the '90s where they had no record of how much PPI he had paid, but in those cases we did have a little more evidence in the form of a couple of old statements.

Hope this helps and you have success eventually :)

Since I'm still waiting on my letters I don't actually know what they are saying. I believe from the conversation I had the other day they are saying that I did not have PPI. I know that I did have PPI as I was forced to take it out with the loans. I have all three account numbers (provided by my own branch). Once I receive my letters, I will see what they say and then challenge it with Lloyds initially and then FOS if required. I know that I do not have paperwork. I have moved house about 6 times since the 1990s. You mention DH. Did they also have to get FOS involved or did Lloyds offer them £1200 despite not having paperwork? This is all so frustrating, isn't it?

so pleased you got sorted, Cant help feeling annoyed waiting since august is a p@*s take there seems to be no order to payouts!, I have had a partial refund and the remainder seems to have been forgotten despite various calls and mails :(
  • started our journey back in mid october 2011 with 2 loan claims both paid out in december.
started 2 credit card claims late october finally paid out in late jan and early feb 2012.
now recd offer letter today on another loan started mid december 2011.
started another loan early jan 2012 so we are waiting on that one also another claim started feb 1st.
our feeling is that lloyds have been pretty good on timings of offers and payouts so we for one are grateful we feel desperate for people waiting longer than us but our journey has not finished yet.
we hope we will be clear of offers and payouts by the end of april 2012 hopefully.
so people keep the faith .
also i feel for the staff at lloyds they are doing a very difficult job ,a job that should never have come about the person/people who introduced ppi should be shot at dawn.money money they thought.
a very bad idea me thinks.
