*UPDATE* :A Happy Valentines Day everyone :A
Just an update on my previous *UPDATE* in this long thread.23-09-2011 Received acknowledgment confirmation letters about my mutiple claims
08-12-2011 Received 7 x offer letters for the various individual claims (interest upto 04-01-2012)
25-01-2012 Received £2.7k payment for 2 claims on credit cards into account this afternoon :T
Still waiting for £8.5k payment(s) for claims on my loans to be paid
Have never bothered phoning or emailing them to see how my claims are doing , I have just basically let things sort themselves out
Had all the remaining money from my multiple claims , dumped into my account this afternoon :T
Its been a long journey (as it always is when you are owed money) , but very worthwhile in the end.
Cheers everyone , and I hope everyone still waiting for payment gets sorted very soon :beer:0 -

Thats great news... well done! Mine is still outstanding from August - Sent an email to Tim Tookey friday, no response so sent another one just now. Is this how you got your phone call?
Any advice would be great - going out of my mind...0 -
Money due in account got home to cheque - at least I am paid but what a system if I worked my business like that I would have been sacked a long long time ago
Good luck to all, I am awaiting an out come from Egg / Barclaycard not sure what will happen with that one0 -

Yes, I originally complained back in 2010 but as Lloyds said they had no supporting docs they rejected my complaint. I only had the account number but I remember being told I had to have the PPI to get the loan. It went to the FOS and they managed to get an offer of £1200 out of Lloyds, which is apparently their standard offer if no paperwork exists. I hoped to find the original docs when we moved last spring, but was unlucky so after some deliberation I accepted their offer last autumn.
Do you have your loan account numbers at all? If not it might be worth doing a DSAR......
When I did a DSAR to Lloyds back in 2009 they sent me paperwork going back ten years, but although there was obviously nothing relating to the older loan, they did supply a list of all the loans I had taken out over the years so I had the account number if nothing else
DH also received two refunds of £1200 from Lloyds on old loans from the '90s where they had no record of how much PPI he had paid, but in those cases we did have a little more evidence in the form of a couple of old statements.
Hope this helps and you have success eventually
I did have details from the 90's - annual statements from Lloyds clearly stating I had a loan with PPI, account numbers and the like but they only offered me the £1200. Luckily, I was able to locate the opening loan statement, showing a front loaded PPI premium of £1935 in November 1997. I rang and rejected the £1200 and sent off copies of the various supporting documents last week. Just waiting to see what their response is now.
I was warned by Lloyds that refusal to accept may mean referral to the FOS, but been there before, and it holds no fears for me - all it means is it takes a bit longer, but with it being front loaded I hope they will pay up without referring to FOS.
Will let you know what happens.
