Peaople who have recieved cheques today. Has your loan been recalcualted?
Yes about 2 weeks before I received payment but didn't receive any kind of notification about it..... It was by pure luck that one of the days I telephoned a note had just been put onto my file saying it had been recalculated so don't hold out any hope of them informing you of any progress.... From experience of the 6 months I was waiting for payment the only info I ever got was by telephoning them as the only letter I ever received was my settlement letter last August!!!
Hope you don't have much longer to wait?0 -
Thanks for your reply. Did all you do was phone up and they changed their decision? Did you not have to put anything writing? Were your loans also from the 1990s? Could you please tell me a little more? Did you get the £1200 gesture? Glad to hear you've been paid out. I'm sure you are pleased to finally get a conclusion.
Hi Shirleyk, All as my letter said was they were not taking my claim any further as I never had any PPI on my loan. I just phoned them up and they had a look at their system and said that it was a mistake on their part as they could see that I did indeed have PPI, so they would open the claim again. They never offered me any money though! Exactly the same happened to my sister a few months later, and she just done the same as me. My loan was from the 2000's. Hope this all helps!0 -

Finger nails have been saved.
I came home last night to find a cheque waiting for me (despite Lloyds telling me it would be a BACS)
Time to book that holiday.
Good luck to everyone who's still waiting.0 -

Congratulations on finally getting sorted. Please can you let me know the sort of thing that you put in your email to them. I am on day 41, 8 days since the claims were escalated and would like to follow up my phone call with an email.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you0 -
Well, despite being promised last week that I would receive my payment today, by Carol something from the Chief Executive's team, there is no sign of any payment into my account. Glad I didn't hold my breath...
As to the post above about abuse of a family member, the core problem seems to be that communication from Lloyds has been abysmally poor.
I have held senior management roles (not in a bank!), dealing with some pretty serious complaints, and know that people need to be kept informed as to the state of their complaint, or they get increasingly upset and distressed.
The fault does not lie with those who phone up to complain, but with those who set up a completely inefficient and ineffective system, which has led to such a high degree of frustration. I have had no written communication from Lloyds since September 2011, when my offer letters were dated - since then the only contact I have had has been as a result of complaining to the CEOs office directly, and copying my MP into the complaint.0 -
I also received my cheque from LTSB yesterday after receiving my offer letter in December.....:j
My claim went in during November 2010 and was being dealt with by the FOS, but as neither Lloyds nor I had any supporting paperwork (the loan dated from early 1990s) I ended up accepting an offer of £1200.
Luckily I have only one more LTSB PPI complaint to put in (for DH), having already successfully reclaimed in excess of £16k in mis-sold PPI from Lloyds in total :T
Hopefully the rest of you guys still waiting won't have to wait too much longer........Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0
