LloydsTSB PPI Payment

Hmm, having been so quick to notice they paid us twice and demand it back...they've now apparently decided they don't want it back and haven't cashed their cheque.. Idiots! The sooner they take the money the sooner we get the hell out of Lloyds!
On a side note; my girlfriend informs me the previously free phone banking number is going 0845, so looks like they're trying to claw back money in anyway possible0 -

I also had a couple of loans from the 1990's and like you had no paperwork. I found my loan numbers through Equifax. I sent my PPI questionnaire to them with the loan numbers saying I did have PPI and the amounts of the loans and how much I roughly paid back to them. I've had letters back from them confirming I did have loans from then and hav since had offers of money back, so you can try and claim. I'm just awaiting payment now from them and some credit cards! Good look in advance, be patient but you will get there in the end!:)
Thanks for your reply. I sent the loan numbers (provided by my branch), a letter and the questionnaire. Still they are coming back and saying that I had no PPI. I know that I had PPI. Loans direct were unable to give me copies of the paperwork from the 1990s. Their records only start at 2000. How can they say that I had no PPI when there is no proof? Where are they getting their information that I had no PPI when they cannot provide me with any documents? How can I pursue this as surely it is my word against theirs?0 -
I made a Subject Access Request to Lloyds a year ago asking for information relating to loans in the 90s. In their reply they stated that they only had loan numbers but no info on payments made or PPI etc. However, they also sent me around 500 pages of all account information, transactions, credit assessment, amongst which i found a couple of pages of computerised archive print outs confirming certain loan numbers and the words "with insurance" added, and the dates when the loans were settled. These enabled me to make a claim on 4 loans from the 90s, and they have subsequently made 2 offers of £1200 because they do no have any details of payments made, and 2 offers of different amounts, because now they claim they do have details of ppi payments made on 2 of the loans even though they did not disclose the payments under my original SAR. I would suggest that you make a SAR for all info they hold on you, which may confirm that you took out the loans with insurance.0

ShirleyK, they done the same to me and my sister! We knew that we both had PPI but they sent us both letters saying we did not have! I just phoned them up and they said it was a mistake! Mmmmmm........... funny how it happened to both of us!
On a lighter note I HAVE BEEN PAID!!!!!! :j:j:T It was put into my account on Thursday by a CHAPS payment! So excited that I don't have to deal with this anymore! Well it only took them 6 months to put the money in my account!
Hope everyone else that has been waiting as long as me gets their money soon!0 -
It's nice to read that there seems to be some progress on the August/October 2011 claims.
I called today and got the shock of my life when someone answer within 10 seconds. After normally waiting 45 mins on every other previous occasion this threw me.
I was informed that there are not many queues on the phones now so it should be much easier to get through.
When I gave the guy (Charlie) my details he asked did I get the offer letter. I replied yes in October! He said no, the one sent out the beginning of February?! I explained I have had no correspondence from anyone since my Oct offer letter despite phone calls and email. He asked if I got a partial payment previously to which I replied no. He seemed genuinely shocked. He has passed my claim on as an urgent one, confirmed where I wanted it paying (account/CHQ). He reckons I should here something before next week.
So obviously the helpline still haven't a clue or try to fob you off (but in this case I think he is genuine) or they are being provided information that is incorrect. To say I should have had my recalc/new offer letter and referring to partial payment must be on his screen somewhere otherwise why bother saying it?
Still don't know where I stand with regards to getting paid but this seemed more progress than I have ever made before. Fingers crossed.0 -
Well, I have received 2 phone calls today from a lady called Carol that works in the Chief Exec office in Newport, Wales. She went over a few details with me and basically just said that there should be no reason why I haven't received my refund. Explained that I no longer bank with Lloyds but I still have an account with them showing nil balance so they can pay the money in there. Told her i preferred the money to go in to my Natwest account, so she has taken the details for that account.
Also on the 30th Jan, letter went out to me explaining the re-calculation of the 8% interest on my refund. Strange why I haven't received it yet ??
Today I feel a little more positive, but until I see that money in my account, I am not going to get excited !!!!
I got a call from her today explaining that the cheif exec had recieved my complaint and she will now be looking into my case and pushing this through for me.
I wont hold my breath through fear of dying! ha ha,
Have you recieved any payment or seen any movement?
Its getting boring now!0 -
