LloydsTSB PPI Payment
Comments

I have been extremely lucky- I came on here around November time asking for advice (which was very kindly given)
I contacted Lloyds to get info about my loan that was taken out in Aug 2005. Paperwork came back- I could see that I hadn't even signed the PPI box- filled in relevant forms, sent it all back (on 2nd Dec)
On 18th Dec I phoned them- they said they had received my paperwork and I would hear from them 'within 12 weeks'.
after reading horrendous stories on here I thought no point in banking on seeing the money before april at least.
Received a letter dated 31st Jan on the 5th feb- acknowledging my complaint and agreeing to pay me back £3759. letter said that I do not need to contact them unless i dispute this amount (which I didn't) and they would transfer the funds within 28 days.
Again- after reading stories on here I thought it would be a miracle to get the money within 28 days.
Checked my account today (poor, penniless) to see if Child Benefit had gone in and I am GOBSMACKED to see that a payment was made yesterday.
So it has taken around 12 weeks from the day I sent my letter off.
I can't complain about the process whatsoever - I cannot understand how they can deal with my claim so differently from any other customer.
I really hope that all of you who have been waiting such a ridiculous amount of time will see your money very soon.
thanks for all advice offered on here. Good luck with your claims.0 -
Just shows you what a shambles their ppi department is, i still haven't even received my offer letter yet despite them now telling me it has been sent out three times
I made my original complaint back in october and received an acknowledgement letter on 31st october.
How can they be paying people who made the complaint in december before people who have been waiting months??
and another thing, why do they keep telling me the letters they send out can take up to 10 days, why can't they just send them as a priority, or some sort of recorded delivery service, especially the cheques0 -
Wow - first time post after so long lurking
We started the process in August and despite waiting 16 weeks did not get any letters - phoned up and found out that we had been sent some letters which failed to materialise - after numerous re-requests by telephone to useless call centre staff and loads of fob offs we still had nothing so sent an email complaint to the generic email address (mentioning how awful they had treated a loyal customer and considering contacting our MP)
Our letters have turned up (finally) today but obviously no sign of the money (interest calculated up to 5th Jan)0 -
No Beautygirl, I havent received any response from him, this maybe because he knew I was being paid??
Anyone with offer dates of Oct/Nov I beleive will receive their money anytime now as myself and others with the same offer dates have received our money in the past 7 days. :j:T
Fingers crossed for you all!
First offer 3rd October so.you think im close?0 -

I've been reading these threads for a while now and so I know everyone seems to be in the same position. I was just wondering if there is anythign that I can do or anyone I can contact to get further help with this.
I originally complained to Lloyds in December 2010, but there was a dely in them coming back to me because of all the banks awaiting the outcome from the courts.
I eventually got a settlement letter in August last year, originally sent to my old address twice before they sent it to the correct address, even though I had updated my address 4 months previously. The interest was calcualated up until the 13th September so when I hadn't recieved anything by the end of Septmber I phoned and double checked nothing had gone to my old address I was told I would have the cheque by the end of October and that they had the correct address on the system now. I then was contacted by my old landlord as I had 3 seperate letters at my old address, these were 3 cheques which added up to just over half of my final settlement figure. I then phoned again and was told that the outstanding amount would follow shortly.
Since then I have made over 15 phonecalls a lot of which I have been on hold for 45 minutes or more just to get through and everytime I am told something different, just a few answers are, if I want to claim the interest which I could have been earning it would take a further 6 weeks to get the money, that the interest was being calculated and I should be recieving another offer letter, when I didn't receive that letter I was told they weren't sending letters out just cheques with the new amount including interest!! More recently I have been told on 3 different phonecalls that it is being passed to a manager and it will now be paid by BACS straight into my account and that I am on a priority list to recieve the payment as I've waited for so long!! Still nothing! I am at a loss as to what more I can do if anyone can offer advice it would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Mel
Hey Mel,
Your situation is just like mine. I had an offer letter in August and had 3rd of my payment in September but I'm still waiting for over £2k. I too have been told I'm on priority list and everything else and I too am at a loss as to what to do. I dont understand how people who have had offers after are getting paid before.
I was wondering if you had received a recalucated offer letter yet? Ive been told since October I'm due one and have had no joy.
Just keep trying, calling and calling and Ive recently written a complaint letter but I doubt this will go ignored. If you find another way of getting your money let me know!0 -
Hi
Day 40 has rolled around - no money.
But something new from the help- line "Mr It's justa ride - I'm pleased to say that we have recalculated your award as a consequence of the delay"
"Really how much extra"?
"ahh Mr It's just a ride I can't tell you that"
Still no payment date.
Been a customer of 20 years, never missed a payment, never been overdrawn. Bored now.0 -

No I haven't had a recaculated letter, I was told on one phonecall I would be getting one in October but when I phoned to chase I was told they are not sending out letters they are just paying the difference!! To be honest I don't think anyone there knows what is going on. i was told yesterday that they have been e-mailing the refunds team everytime I phone (which has been weekly since the 5th January), when I asked why the refunds team had not replied she said it takes 7 -10 days!! I said but if you e-miled at the beginning of January then its been 6 weeks!!! She just said that if she had a magic button she would pay me and couldn't give me anything more than that! I'm at my wits end!!0 -
I just rang and got an update. Apparently a recalculation occurred on February 3rd aand a letter was generated today stating I would be paid with "21" days? Has anyone had a letter like this? I said to the man how.can they possibly say 21 days when I have been waiting well over 100 days since my offer letter. He says they are in a much better position to process the payments now I kind of believe them for the first time?0

Still no money received-becoming less gruntled.well done to all who have received their refunds from LLoyds.0

Well, I have received 2 phone calls today from a lady called Carol that works in the Chief Exec office in Newport, Wales. She went over a few details with me and basically just said that there should be no reason why I haven't received my refund. Explained that I no longer bank with Lloyds but I still have an account with them showing nil balance so they can pay the money in there. Told her i preferred the money to go in to my Natwest account, so she has taken the details for that account.
Also on the 30th Jan, letter went out to me explaining the re-calculation of the 8% interest on my refund. Strange why I haven't received it yet ??
Today I feel a little more positive, but until I see that money in my account, I am not going to get excited !!!!0
