Can anyone tell me who has received a cheque from lloyds if it came via registered mail? I received a letter with an offer from Lloyds on 17th Jan and was told the money should be getting paid direct into my account, I've not received anything so far - not that I'm surprised after reading how long most people have been waiting. Today I had a slip from Royal Mail saying that they tried to deliver a letter whilst I was out but it requires a signature. I have to wait 24 hours before collecting it and I'm hoping they have sent a cheque, if anyone could confirm this is how they get sent out I would be very grateful - don't want to get my hopes up!!
Ive only had my cheque for the interested but it did not come registered post just regular0 -
Just thought I would share my journey will you all, as I have been watching this thread now since October.
Claim made August, upheld October. Told last friday (3rd Feb) that a recalcs letter was sent on the 28th Jan (never received this) and that now it has been recalculated I will receive the many any day (normally within 7 to 14 days)......... Today finally been paid:j:beer:. I'm so relieved the wait is finally over! I havent rang on a daily basis as I dont think gets you anywhere as your just told the same thing time and time again, no timescales etc. I did send a couple of emails to the PPI address but only ever received a generic response. I emailed Tim Tookey yesterday and asked in a polite but firm way whether he could give me any idea of when I would be paid as I had been waiting nearly 16 weeks...........and today logged onto online banking to find I had finally been paid.
Keep your chin up everyone and I hope you all get what's yours very soon.0 -
I have been reading this thread for ages now and I have been waiting for payment since my offer letter on 18th November (interest up to 14th Dec)... The thing which is now starting to really anger me is the fact that some people are receiving payment almost instantly after receiving their offer letter, which I find totally unacceptable (nothing against these people). I told 2 of my work colleagues about claiming direct with the bank at least 2 months after I put in my claim and they have both received their payments days after receiving there offer letter......:(0

My offer letter is the same date as your and it's definitely the one thing thats riling me as well. I can understand backlogs but as least for goodness sake deal with the claims in order. It's infuriating.0 -
does anyone know how I would go about taking this down the court route... how much would I need to pay etc... where would I send the letter?0

No Beautygirl, I havent received any response from him, this maybe because he knew I was being paid??
Anyone with offer dates of Oct/Nov I beleive will receive their money anytime now as myself and others with the same offer dates have received our money in the past 7 days. :j:T
Fingers crossed for you all!0 -

I have my fingers crossed for you. Its so annoying when you see people receiving their money when they only made the claim in November/December, but I have every faith you will receive your's soon as your offer date is only 2 weeks or so after mine and most of us from October/November offers seem to receiving ours now!!:):)0 -
Hi,
I've been reading these threads for a while now and so I know everyone seems to be in the same position. I was just wondering if there is anythign that I can do or anyone I can contact to get further help with this.
I originally complained to Lloyds in December 2010, but there was a dely in them coming back to me because of all the banks awaiting the outcome from the courts.
I eventually got a settlement letter in August last year, originally sent to my old address twice before they sent it to the correct address, even though I had updated my address 4 months previously. The interest was calcualated up until the 13th September so when I hadn't recieved anything by the end of Septmber I phoned and double checked nothing had gone to my old address I was told I would have the cheque by the end of October and that they had the correct address on the system now. I then was contacted by my old landlord as I had 3 seperate letters at my old address, these were 3 cheques which added up to just over half of my final settlement figure. I then phoned again and was told that the outstanding amount would follow shortly.
Since then I have made over 15 phonecalls a lot of which I have been on hold for 45 minutes or more just to get through and everytime I am told something different, just a few answers are, if I want to claim the interest which I could have been earning it would take a further 6 weeks to get the money, that the interest was being calculated and I should be recieving another offer letter, when I didn't receive that letter I was told they weren't sending letters out just cheques with the new amount including interest!! More recently I have been told on 3 different phonecalls that it is being passed to a manager and it will now be paid by BACS straight into my account and that I am on a priority list to recieve the payment as I've waited for so long!! Still nothing! I am at a loss as to what more I can do if anyone can offer advice it would be much appreciated.
Thank you
