We received an offer letter 21st December calculated until 17th Jan. Hubby has just phoned up again (about once a week) to be told that there was a note added this morning to say cheque approved (or something like that) so she said we should get it in the next few days.
It's something new and not a 'line' like many I've read/heard so we'll see if it means anything within the next few days I guess. You have to start to finish.
LBM - September 2011 ~ DEBT FREE July 2012
Debt Sept 2011: [STRIKE]£11,276.05[/STRIKE], July 2012: £0
VSP Challenge #69: £18.120 -
Hi all, I've been following this wonderful adventure now for a couple of months. My history is:-
1st letter sent 26/08/11
Acknowledgement dated 05/09/11
2nd letter dated 14/11/11 warning that there 12 weeks was nearly up
Offer letter received dated 05/12/11 with interest upto 31/12/11
Chased loads of time on phone and gave up about 3 weeks ago
Today, just thought I would phone them to check what address they would send a cheque to if they sent as we did move 4 years ago!!!
They confirmed my address and I was just about to say "goodbye" when she said "and that was sent yesterday" and she added "they are sent 2nd class so could take upto 10 days".
So, my probably gray haired nail-less friends, I will keep you POSTed (pardon the pun)((trying to keep calm))0 -
The story so far.
April 2011-Phoned LLoyds with general enquiry, told I may have a PPI claim, answered questionnaire on the phone.;)
October 2011-Had heard nothing so phoned again.Polite young lady said claim had been lost and so I answered questionnaire again.
January 02 2012-Letters received upholding claims on 6 loans and 1 credit card totalling £28.000 and calculating interest to 24.01.2011.:j:beer:
Today-Still no money,so made a polite enquiry as to when I may receive any money.Received the expected reply-no timescales etc.etc.
Guess I may be in for the "Long Wait":mad::mad:
Pay up Lloyds, you know it makes sense.
Not yet badly disgruntled, but won`t be long before I am.

You dont need to use a claims company if that is what you were thinking of doing. I looked into it and realised they take a 30% cut of whatever you get back! It's YOUR money and you can claim it all back yourself. Thats what I am doing, and I shall get myself a lovely treat with the 30% I have saved0 -
can any one help please
Hiya
When I put my claim in originally, the questionnaire asks for an address to write to you. I put my current address as I no longer live at the address where I was when I took out the original loan. As long as your daughters bf knows the previous address and has an address he can submit where correspondence can be picked up from then he should be ok to submit a claim?
Most importantly would be to actually get the claim registered with the call centre team as then at least the ball is rolling. As you can see from the many unhappy people on this forum, it can take a while to come through!!0 -
I dont see why they cant invest in some more printers and print the cheques once they ve calculated the offers and stick them together in the envelope - useless peopleMember & fundraiser for Meningitis Research Foundation0

I phoned up again today and it was the usual total waste of time. The girl on the phone was quiet for a while whilst she was reading my notes. She said that my claim has been passed to Senior Management and i should be receiving a reply to my email (sent to Tim Tookey) very soon.
But in the meanwhile she could not give me a timescale of when i will be paid......but to keep checking my account......blah, blah, blah........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz0 -

Does anyone no the timescale at the moment with the FOS i have been waiting 4 months now.0 -
We had a letter in August 2011 calculating our repayment up till the end of October.
On the 2nd Feb we received the generic 'we will be in touch again soon' letter to which we replied:
Thank you for acknowledging my recent e-mail.
I don't particularly want you to send a letter of acknowledgment, however, even if it will indeed only take up to ten working days to send it - You've been holding on to my money for over four months now and this seems like yet another delaying tactic by Lloyds TSB to shirk your obligations.
If I had owed you a similar sum you would have taken swift and punitive steps to recover it by now, so I reckon, having given you a very generous amount of time to get the payment sorted, that enough is enough.
If payment of this debt remains outstanding by Monday 27/02/2012 I shall instigate legal proceedings against you to recover the debt, plus costs and interest.
After banking with you for over 50 years, it gives me no pleasure at all to have to take these steps to compel you to behave in an honourable fashion.
Yesterday we received the following answer;
It is very important to us to ensure that our customers receive excellent service during any dealings they may have with us and I am disappointed to hear that you’ve had cause to voice your concerns with the business.
Please accept my most sincere apologies for the delay you have encountered. As you are no doubt aware, we are currently experiencing an unprecedented increase in the volume of complaints and although we have expanded our resources to deal with this, unfortunately there are still occasions when we may not meet our customer's expectations.
In order to put things right for you, I have arranged for your refund to be recalculated to account for the extra interest since the original calculation in September 2011. Once completed, this will be paid via the Clearing House Automated Payments System (CHAPS) to your Lloyds TSB Platinum current account ending **** Additionally, I have included the amount of £75.00 as a goodwill gesture to account for any distress this situation has caused.
I would like to assure you that we have not employed any delay tactics during this process and there has been no deliberate intention to withhold this money from you. We endeavour to process your payment as soon as is possible.
Once again, I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and I thank you for your patience at this particularly busy time.
Well! whoopdedoop! Please note that there is NO mention of which date the extra interest will be calculated to and there is NO mention of a date when we might expect to receive anything at all.
Anyone got any good suggestions as to which bank we should switch to after this?0 -
:j:beer::T:rotfl:OMG - they were not fibbing to me yesterday, the cheque is here and they put another £25 interest on without sending a recal letter. Sorry to all you folks who have been waiting longer and I wish you loads of luck with the !!!!!! (Lloyds) :rotfl::T:beer::j0
