Just made the usual call been told its been escalated and being processed.....................funny how he could tell me that and the last time I called but couldnt tell me when the money was coming never has customer service seen levels like this at all
  • Is there any actual way of telling if they are going to pay you via a direct deposit or via a cheque ?! I had a letter saying if you accept the amount you need to do nothing, but havent received either and its variable on what people seem to be receiving ! Hmm

  • Hi,

Just made my fourth phone call to the "customer services" department. Actually managed to speak to a manager who was worse than useless.

    - 30/09/11 Claim upheld ("sending cheque shortly")
    - 20/10/11 Phone call to customer services
    - 14/12/11 Phone call to customer services - claim escalated
    - 10/01/12 Phone call to customer services - claim escalated again
    - 10/01/12 Email to ppicustomerrelations
    - 06/02/12 Phonecall to customer services - spoke to manager

128 days and counting with no payment.

Lloyds are an absolute joke. Nobody tells you anything and will do nothing outside of the "process" to find out why certain payments are falling through the gaps.

I'm thinking of setting up a Facebook page to try and bring all disgruntled Lloyds PPI claimants together to one place. It might help put a bit more pressure on Lloyds to pull their finger out. Anyone think its a good idea?

Have they rejected your claim ?

As they seem to be upholding and processing the other posters claims albeit slow paced it would be worth the effort .

If they have rejected contact the FOS .

You do not state at what stage you are at but I am sure that help would be available in this forum .

Good luck don't give up !!

  • So bloody annoyed!!!!!!!!! Still waiting
First acceptance letter Aug 2010, Partial refund for previous loans by the end of August
Interest recalc for remaining loan November stating my case is a so called priority! ( really? NO )
    Still no cheque
Are they ever going to pay up? I would threaten court but cant afford to carry it through :(
  • Numerous calls and emails too...... no joy

Greetings, all, and many thanks for the advice gained by reading this board, where I have been lurking for a while. Was finally goaded into contributing today after yet another load of bull****

    Similar story to many -

Complaint March 2011, upheld June, offer letters 19th and 21 Sept 2011 - substantial total for a series of loans taken in the 90s.

    <Rant>
Since then not a penny, not a letter, no communication whatsoever.

Have phoned numerous times, to be given various, sometimes contradictory information, until in Jan I was told that payment had been sent by cheque on the 12th Jan. Well, I waited, as you would, but to date nothing has arrived. Funny how the letter to tell me that I had exceeded my overdraft limit and would be charged arrived two days after a payment I had forgotten about arrived safely two days after the event, but the envelope carrying my alleged cheque never made it.

Now, would itbe reasonable to assume that a cheque sent on the 12th Jan would have arrived by now?

I phoned the so called help line again, now they say they will have to cancel the payment and issue another, so yet another month passes with no money. They suggested I should wait for another two weeks before phoning again.

I have emailed several times, most recently to the [Removed by FT] address which was posted here, copying the emails to my MP - his office have phoned to be assured that the matter was being looked into. They have clearly received the emails as one person on the phone referred to them, but have never done me the courtesy of replying to them, or even acknowledging receipt.

The email to Tookey included the following
"I wish to lodge formal complaints regarding:

1 - the delay in payment of sums agreed, in letters dated September 2011. I have not had any payment whatsoever despite the promise that payment would be made "soon".
2 - the absolute lack of any communication from Lloyds since then
3 - the financial disadvantage I have suffered because of the delay in payment
4 - the distress and inconvenience that I have suffered as a result of the egregious and inept management of this issue, which indicates a significant failure of governance at all levels of Lloyds Bank.

I trust that I will receive a more effective response to my complaints, and resolution of this matter to my satisfaction within the next two weeks. I am sending a copy of this email to the addresses previously emailed, and also to my MP, who, I believe, in the current climate, will no doubt be intereted in the performance of a publicly-owned bank.

    <-Rant>

I feel better for that, thanks for the suggestions and information on this board!
