Quick update: For those that can't remember, my folks reclaimed a 5 figure sum and were offered a refund on the PPI on a loan that wasn't part of the original complaint. They agreed, cancelled the PPI but heard nothing. When they complained during December, they got an email back from AB saying it was being dealt with but couldn't be guaranteed when.

Folks finally had enough of this - called the helpline on Wednesday, let loose, threatened an LBA by the close of business a week away, disappointed hadn't heard from AB after their 2nd email, etc., etc. Quite blunt - is it really all that difficult to do something that anyone of us could do in 5 minutes with a pen and paper? The good news - a CHAPS transfer of the final amount yesterday.

Keep trying everyone! And don't let the !!!!!!'s get you down!

Ok guys, newbie here but i'm in the same situation as a lot of you.

I sent my complaint along with all the relevant forms to lloyds back in october and received a letter of acknoledgement on 31st october telling me they would let me know within 12 weeks

12 weeks passed and i heard nothing, so i phoned them on 18th jan and was told a letter had been sent out on 6th jan and i would be getting my ppi back:D she said this would be paid directly into my account no later than 5th feb and she would re-send the letter to me.

Two weeks passed and still no sign of any letter so i phoned again, only to be told this time she didn't know when i would get the money but it would be sent out as a cheque, i explained to her as i am not receiving their letters it is unlikely i will receive any cheque that is posted to me.

She then said all she can do is email the relevant department to see what is happening to the letters.

The thing is, my loan was in my old address so i'm thinking either they've sent the letters there or they are blatantly telling lies about the letters being sent out at all.

How do lloyds make the payments? into the account or by cheque? and do i have to sign something to agree to accept it as every time i've phones nobody has mentioned this.

Anyone esle not received the letter that has been sent out with the payment offer?

Not really sure what to do now, as i have had no promised corespondence as promised, within the 12 week period

Who are you guys emailing and getting a response from?
  • Modey-iom I have been waiting for payment since august 13th 2011 I have been told countless times I will get a letter and still not got one yet? Also I asked to be paid into bank but so did other people on here yet they have just received cheques so it's anyone's guess really????
  • I've got a long wait the by the sounds of, what is really annoying is they are obviously lying to me about sending the letters out, one going missing I could understand, but two?

Really don't know where to go from here, just sit and wait or spend 15 mins on hold every week chasing it up with their call centre
  • Who is this AB everyone is emailing?
  • karengibo, I have been paid today , waiting for payment since 18 august had a phone call on wednesday out of the blue to say recal had been done. and my money would be paid shortly.
HOPE YOU ALL DONT HAVE TO WAIT AS LONG AS ME .

Did you get a letter with an offer within 12 weeks and did you have to accept the offer in writing?
  • Hi All! Just thought I would share my update....

    Dec 22nd - Offer letter
Jan 10th - Interest calculated up to
    Jan 10th - No payment!
Jan 10th - Feb 1st - Telephone calls to the 'help' line, emails to Lloyds, letters sent to Lloyds - telephone calls unhelpful, emails ignored, letters ignored (very rude!)
    Feb 3rd - Cheque recieved!!!
Feb 3rd (3 hours after cheque deposited in account!) - Email recieved from Lloyds advising that cheque has been sent.

I am sooooo happy that my case has finally been sorted out, but I feel very sorry for those that have been waiting months and months. There just does not appear to be any kind of order in which people are being paid. I have been frustrated waiting the time I have, so I can only imagine how these others are feeling.

Thankyou to MSE for the help and advice on how to claim back what I was owed...and good luck to everyone else who is still waiting!

PS I was also asked by the cashier at my local branch what I would be spending this money on, and did I want to put it into a higher interest account. The look on her face when I told her that it would be being put into my Halifax account as soon as the cheque cleared on Thursday...Priceless! :0)
