  • Well done LauraVal1! No need to be sorry - its not our fault that people have been waiting longer than us - its Lloyds TSB's fault.

The reality is that Lloyds don't seem to know their a**e from their elbow!

    Today I've rec'd a cheque just shy of £9000

    my journey as follows:

November 7th 2011 = Initial complaint over the phone with PPI team
    November 12th 2011 = acknowledgement letter
    January 12th 2012 = offer rec'd
January 21st 2012 = loan balance reduced online by £2000
    January 30th 2012 = cheque issued rec'd today!

I have not emailed them nor have I rang them at any point to chase, I've let them get on with it.

I was very happy with the 12 weeks it took from start to finish!

when cashed in Lloyds today they asked me what i was doing with the money!!??? cheeky mo fos

Hope you all get your money soon
  • pretty sure I'm on working day 106 since my offer letter dated 21st of Sept. Part payment received in early Dec, still waiting on almost 7k.

106 working days seems a bit excessive to me... needless to say, not very happy.

haha I was asked that too - she said "would you like to open a savings account and pay it into there?"

I said, yes, thats a great idea - i'll open one up at HSBC or Barclays next week when I move it to there after i've closed my Lloyds TSB account.

The next 30 seconds of silence from her were quite amusing :D
  • Hey guys just a quick question. Were you paid by cheque even though you have a LLoyds account?

Trudy10 I have a Lloyds Account and also requested it to be paid into my Lloyds account but still was sent a cheque!!!! Its a joke that 1 they hold back our payments and then 2 they don't follow your requested instructions. Just goes to show they don't read any case notes!!!! I will now have to wait for the cheque to clear no doubt when i pay the cheque in tomorrow for about 5 days!!!!
  • Thanks LauraVal1, How bizarre. I was totally waiting for a payment to go in but will keep my eyes peeled for a cheque. I'm afraid for some reason I think other people on here have said it will take 5 days to clear. That's a crime surely! Glad for you though, it must be quite a relief!
  • Hi, I have been following this thread since I got my offer letter dated 12th January 2012 - interest up to 3rd Feb, I really thought that it could take some time before my cheque is received reading how long it has taken some of you guys to receive yours. I have today received my cheque, three weeks after offer letter. Really surprised and very glad, however, feel very sorry for you guys that have been waiting a lot longer.

It sure is a relief. It just ammuses me the fact that the LLOYDS TSB cheque that is being paid into a LLOYDS TSB Account will take 5 days to clear when it should clear straigh away!!! So annoying but at least i have it.

I'm pretty sure that if a cheque is Lloyds to Lloyds (or Barclays to Barclays, HSBC to HSBC, etc) then 95% of the time, it clears in 2 days. I think they say up to 5 days just incase there's a delay.
