  • Been following this since before I put my claim in. Following advice from this site I put my claim in on a continuing loan (20 months left) in July 2011.
I got my upheld letter 3 weeks later at the beginning of August. This date had no settlement fee and stated it was to follow. Settlement letter received 28 Oct 2011 with a calculation of interest until 25 Nov 2011. To date I have not been paid.
I waited 1 month from this letter to phone LLoyds and query how long my payment would take - I was told it would be the end of the week.
on the 1st Dec 2011 I called again and I was told the info I was given was incorrect and I should not have been told that. I was advised they had not yet making September payments yet so expect it to take 2-3 weeks before I get my money.
On the 8th (I think) January 2012 I called again querying the payment. I was fobbed off saying there was nothing they could do to speed up the claim but they would try emailing the claims team to see if it helps. I then queried would I get more interest added on as my settlement fee only included it until 25 Nov. I was informed they could not make that decision. I told them to make this an official request for my interest to be added. I was informed in these cases that you get the original settlement amount followed by a cheque for the additonal interest.
No further forward but thought I would put my breakdown on here for info.
  • Well I still have no refund in my account again today. This is getting beyond a joke now. I just feel sorry for the people that have been waiting longer!!!! Tomorrow will 28 working days since my offer letter and i have accounted for the Christmas & New Year Bank Holidays in that also
  • No cash for me either today, it's been 10 weeks since my offer letter !!
The email I received the other day from the ppi team stated that I shall be paid "very shortly"....what the hell does that mean ?? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  • I'm on 54 working days since mine. Have sent a couple of emails with no reply as of yet. If after all this time it's the stock email I'm going to go mad!! So rude and unprofessional.
  • Now on day 64 of no payment. I have now sent an email every day for the last eight days and they haven't even acknowledged one of them. Totally disgusted with lloyds !

The thing is now, I think I'm going to be totally mad if they send a reply to my mails now as they all seem to be generic. How can you wait 10 days for someone to copy and paste the last email they sent?
  • Guess what guys - my firm but fair and forceful letters and emails threatening court action against Lloyds TSB if I hadn't recieved my payment worked! A nice juicy cheque arrived on my doorstep today - with FULL payment!

Just 2 days after I sent my "final warning" to Andrea Barry by email, plus a written warning to their dedicated PPI postal address and Newport address.

This highlights that, they've paid up because they knew I was serious - and they knew they would have lost their case too!

So, this just proves that, when you play them at their own game, you win the fight and you'll be paid.

If anyone needs any help, or indeed wants to use copies of the letter that I used to be paid, then by all means, i'm willing to help.

Just remember though, if you threaten court action, you MUST be willing to follow your threat through if they fail to pay by the deadline that you set - so make sure you can afford the court fee upfront if you decide to go down that route (your fee is paid back if you win your case - so you don't actually lose the fee in the long term).

    Good luck guys!
  • I got a letter from my mp today which was a copy of the letter shr has sent to lloyds requesting my money and an improvement on the system of issuing refunds in general. I rang the useless phone line who said I will soon be given an email to my complaint. Its worth notification that in the email I specifically stated this is a formal complaint and to treat it as such. The other complaints I emailed were obviously just ignored
  • Well Guys i am so sorry to tell you but i have just been advised by my mother who has just got in from work to say that i have a cheque from Lloyds for my PPI. THANK GOD!!!! Sorry to the people that have been waiting longer and i just hope your claims get sorted soon. I shall be looking almost every day on here to hopefully see people advising they are too getting paid. Good look and thank god it's over for me and See you later Lloyds i shall be moveing all my accounts from them to some one else now.
