Enjoy this essay, sorry for the !!!!!iness towards some posters, its not meant to be harsh.

I have read above some peoplegoing absolutely nuts that they havent been paid since receiving their offer letter in Jan. Come on, are you serious???? Lloyds are crap at paying out. Dont get stressed out its not worth it. Be Patient, be polite with them believe me it gets you somewhere.

I have been waiting since Sept 16th for over 16k. Ive been very patient and today, i got the final amount paid in full. I called regularly, was polite, and in the end i emailed my MP to ask if he could help. Again, my email to the MP was polite, factual and to the point. He got involved, as there is a dedicated email address for MP's to use to contact them with. Since he got involved for me, it got escalated the very next day to the CEO office. 10 days later. i received 2 phone calls apologising, asking for more info which they got and they authorised an immediate payment today, no bacs delays, straight in. I did ask them to forget recalculating as i didnt want to wait any longer and as a result they added £100 courtesy payment on top to cover additional interest. This also saved some time as more recalcs = more delays. Im delighted i have received an apology direct from the CEO office and my payment in full.

I suggest rather than going on and on and on for AB email addy, get your MP involved with a very polite, informative email. Dont get stressed, yes its YOUR money, you will get it and it really isnt worth getting annoyed over, as hard as that sounds.

Lastly, id like to thank Esoog for the advice on MP contacts, its certainly worked for me.

I wish you all luck in getting your payments soon, ill keep my eyes on here but please take some advice from me, from someone who has been waiting 23 weeks or so for 16.5k. Stay calm and good luck.

Quite agree. That said, bringing your MP into the mix isn't always a necessity. My folks found out in week 15 that Lloyds had lost the complaint questionnaires (they said that they had not been received, despite being sent via recorded delivery), emailed copies to Lloyds, and within a week had confirmation of their refunds. Admittedly, the email to Lloyds did fire a shot across their bows, so to speak, but it was measured and polite. It's of little comfort to some but it does work.

Claim submitted June 11, upheld 31st aug, it's been 31 weeks and I have been polite and patient. It's getting extremely tough to stay nice now. Congrats though on your payment.

Worst thing is, we have to wait till mOnday before we can do anything. Used to love the weekends, but all this waiting is making me want mOnday to come round sooner....aaaahhhhhhhhh
  • Nothing for me this week...

Original offer letter = Sept 21st 2011 (interest to end October)
Recalcs letter & part payment received = 8th December 2011 (interest to 3rd Jan)

    Still owed almost 7k.
Its the 27th of Jan 2012.

Might be an idea to tie up the loose ends before rushing on with the more recent claims, no?
