Honestly people; don't stress yourself out ringing - it does nothing.

Just write/email/get mp involved/threaten court action (seems to mysteriously have an effect - providing you have been waiting a long time)

no sign of promised cheque to cover phone calls.... no sign of our repayment to lloyds for double payment yet either...funny that! :D
  • Has anybody had any cheques from lloydstsb this year yet. We are waiting for 2 both credit cards.interest paid up to 17th and 18th jan but nothing as yet.
    Any advice please.

My interest for 4 loans was calculated until 27th December 2011, not received anything yet.

Reading the posts on here, not really expecting anything until March. If it comes before them, bonus.
  • New to this thread been reading many threads on this forum to add my name to the list lloyds are a nightmare put my credit Card complaint in July
    recieved offer October
said I would have a cheque sent asap... how long is asap?

  • Hi, I'm new to this but i'm really hoping someone can offer me advice or maybe experienced something similar.
I was always aware that I had ppi on 2 loans going back 8 and 10 years. At the time, I was told that I would be refused the loans if I didn't take out ppi. 9 weeks ago I filled out the template letter and sent a request to the bank, last week I received an offer of almost £2400.
Sounds all very simple but while the bank have offered me 8% interest along with the offer, I should be receiving almost £3500. But the bank are only offering this to me on the grounds that according to them ppi was not misold on either loans but that instead of a one off ppi, a monthly paid policy would have suited my circumstances better. They didn't offer this at the time but if they had, it would have only cost me £1055. So they took this off the offer, hence my offer being£2400.
How can they offer me a refund and then take off a figure for a policy that they didn't offer?
I have 7 more days to accept or they have told me to complain to FOS.
  • To give you a little history, I stupidly agreed for a claims company to act on my behalf back in October 2010. I gave them all the info about my Lloyds loan, and was told by the claims company to expect some money by xmas 2010. Fat chance, I then heard nothing from the claims company, so decided to send Lloyds a letter, using the template questionnaire back in May 2011. Received a letter dated the 25/08/2011 to say they were unholding the complaint and with an offer of money approx £6500.

As of yet have not received any money, like so many others. The claims company have no influence at all!!!

I had my weekly text of balance for a joint account with LLoyds Tsb (which has not been used for over 12 months), which showed that on the 28th December 2011 my money had been paid into this account, but to be then taken out the same day!!!!

I hopefully thought a cheque would arrive in the post a few weeks later. But as yet has not arrived, surprise surprise!!

I have contacted LLoyds & so have claims company!! and they still can not give me any explaination why this happened or when i will receive my money

One piece of advise is, if you are going to ring try and do it before 9.30 in the morning, the last few times I have tried got straight through

Have now emailed a few Lloyds email address's and also my local MP, worth a try

I have been waiting 100 working days excluding wkends and bank holidays for lloyds to pay a direct payment in to my bank account ive rang and sent emails stl nothing iim starting to get a little more then annoyed
  • Well husband called again this morning due to yet again no money and spoke to a gentleman at the call centre he originally spoke to earlier this week. The guy in the call centre confirmed the email had been sent and that he received an email back from the powers that be saying it was all sorted.
So now again day 3 waiting for a phone call back and another email sent from me (the wife) to Lloyds. Now trying to finding a solicitor and getting some legal advice as my husband is now getting ill with the stress. I know people turn around and say don't make yourself ill and you shouldn't rely on this money to pay your bills but the simple fact of losing my job only last week and the husband down to 4 days we actually need this money to live.
I just hope the rest of you have better luck than we have

Cheeky sods! I would definately push back and tell them that you were mis-sold PPI as it was made a condition of loan approval by the sales person. You did not want any type of other policy - and that you were forced to buy the PPI else loan would have been rejected.
  • Hello,
I had a letter offerring a settlement which i was happy with on December 7th. It just said the money will be paid into my account as soon as possible. I called them and asked if they knew how long it would be and they said they didn't know! I asked if they could tell me roughly when, according to previous payments, but they didn't know that either!
I am still waiting so i wondered if anyone has actually recieved payment yet and how long they had to wait?
  • Received an email yesterday from mrs barry, 6 days after i sent my first email (got sick of phoning and getting nowhere!!!) saying she was sorry for inconvenience, and receiving exceptionally high volumes of cases BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! they are apparantley working through the claims in date order whatever that means, Having checked my file if the remainder has not already been forwarded to moorcroft she will arrange for the full amount 3400 to be made to me by cheque.
She is going to mail at the beginning of next week when these arrangements have been made and she has a more realistic timescale to offer!

So fingers crossed there may be some movement as i go my original offer in august with a second letter in november stating my case as a so called priority.

Im hopeful this will be sorted soon unless its just more empty promises???
